I personally think that the Colts will be playing for a playoff spot, Luck is clearly the superior QB, and I feel they will be the better team. Arrowhead's home field advantage doesn't exist right now...I'm hoping this season brings that back!

That's kind of what I was getting to....I believe our home field advantage will be back to one of the better ones. But alot of that has to do with the Colts...they weren't very good last year with a big negative point differential and lost the coach that guided them and won't have the same inspiration factor with their coach in the hospital this year. Wayne is another year older and i'm sure Luck will improve, but he also threw 30 potential INT's including drops, so another 15-20 picks wouldn't surprise me at all even with improvement.

Overall, I just think it's ridiculous to predict a loss to any team that has a better QB as if the team with the lesser QB hardly ever wins. At this point Alex Smith and Luck aren't too far off in value, they just offer different positives and negatives.

Then we still have the pessimists predicting multiple losses to teams who actually have worse QB's than us:

Ten
Cle
Buff
Oak
Phi-Vick could easily be alot better or alot worse than Alex

While I was always "optimistic" going into every season and even most games with Cassel I also expressed and acknowledged that we could lose any game or end up being a below avg or crappy team. That just isn't the case this year, IMO. These predictions are about the same or actually worse than in the past 4 years with Cassel, which is mind boggling...people do realize he's in Minny, right? Maybe it won't be til that first preseason game where it finally sinks in that #7 will no longer be trotting out there under center.

Right now my biggest concern is how our rookie LT will do to start the year if we ship off Albert. I think we can go 8-0 at home, but I'll stick with 7-1...there will be renewed enthusiasm and more belief that if we make enough noise on D that the offense will actually be able to score. The '10 team went 7-1 with an easier schedule, but not near the competency on offense or combo of experience and talent on D. Many predict a win at Philly...I definitely will go into that expecting a win (just like any game), but I'm counting it as a loss as Vick and Kelly might get off to a good start with a new system until teams see what they're doing, Reid coaching there really won't be an advantage for us, IMO.I think we finally beat the Bills with the better QB and coach, but that could be the game that determines 10-6 or 11-5....SD on the last day could also be a toss up based on where each team stands. I'll say 11-5, but 10 or 12 is also likely. 9 would surprise me more than 13. Can't wait to play the Donkeys.

I'll sig bet you, if someone will make one, that we don't go 7-1 at home.

I certainly wouldn't bet against that. Laughing
