1) Bjeorn Werner - DE, FSU -

This is a safe pick. I watched him a lot last year and he hustles, he is quick, he is hard nosed. He may not be as talented as Carradine, but he also didn't tear his ACL, so he is healthier. It is odd that he went from going in the top 10 to falling. I think there is something there with him.

2) Le'Veon Bell - RB, MSU

I was right about Elways love for Osweiller last year. I am having that same feeling about Bell. I think Elway digs this dude. Based on Elways decision making thus far, I am going to trust him with this pick.

3) Kawann Short - DT, Purdue

It seems like this guys stock is plummeting. Last year we saw a ton of defensive tackles that we all thought would go in the first two rounds drop to the middle rounds. I hope that happens here and the Broncos can nab some value by drafting Short, who can get up the field and penetrate. Here is to hoping that Werner works out and a trio of Miller, Werner, and Short can all meet at the QB on a regular basis.

4) Aaron Dobson - WR, Marshall

Really an underrated WR. I think Winder is right in that the Broncos need to plan for the even that one of the Broncos gets hurt and one leaves for free agency. I think Thomas and Decker are Bronco lifers, but you never know.

5) A.J. Klein - ILB, ISU

I liked what someone in the forum said about him, or rather, they analyzed him against T'eo and showed that he was just as good as T'eo, if not better.

7) Dan Giordano - DE, Cincinnati

Stole this pick from someone else's mock. I figure if the Broncos are in the process of replacing Dumervil then the law of averages usually works in finding the best prospect.

I wouldn't complain. I wouldn't dance in the streets either, but I wouldn't be disappointed.

I don't think Werner is going to be a huge impact guy but he's another solid piece to the puzzle. Bell I like a lot and getting Short, who has his shortcomings, in the third is good value; Fox and JDR can get the most of out him. And good move getting a depth player at WR because as you say, we need to plan for worst case scenario.

I'd really like the Broncos to get DJ Hayden, but it seems that everyone knows about him now. I think we may be the only ones that like Bell.

Count me in on Bell. I'm a fan of his.

Same. I like Bell too.

Correct me if I'm wrong (not all that in-tune with this year's draft), but I feel last time I saw Kawann Short come up in mock drafts he was projected late first/early second... Is nabbing him the third round becoming realistic?

Reaver, I am predicting that he falls, like several of the DT's that fell last year.

It is looking like Short will fall. He is measuring out smaller than projected and may max out as a rotational pass rush specialist rather than the 3 down DT that many, myself included, thought he may be. Although I think taking a interior rush specialist in the 3rd round or lower would be a great move for Denver.

Exactly, Big Vick and Co. are great run stuffers. We need a 3rd down guy to penetrate. It seems like Big Vick could penetrate, but Big Vick is more about stuffing ball carriers.

I would love for this to happen. There is no way Short is even available when we pick in the 2nd, let alone the third, but I would be ecstatic if this were to happen.
