It's almost that time of year!

Draft schedule:
April 25, 8 p.m.: 1st round
April 26, 6:30 p.m.: 2-3 rounds
April 27, 12 p.m.: 4-7 rounds

Just a couple of things to note:

Arrow Draft day is obviously a huge day for football fans, and this forum. We tend to get a record number of posters around this time, all posting at the same time as well, so there is a high chance that this site will slow down some. Please be patient.

Arrow To help with the traffic, please refrain from posting any pictures or GIFs in the threads for draft weekend, because multiple people posting them will really slow it down here. You won't get warned for posting them, but I will edit them out of your post should I see them. After the draft is over, then pictures and GIFs are fair game, as long as they're appropriate of course.

Arrow ESPN/NFLN has said that they won't spoil picks for us this year. However, Shefter and other's will probably still be spoiling it on twitter. Please don't post anything from twitter or other outlet that spoils the picks.

Arrow Threads will be made for each player we draft, extras will be locked. We don't need 3 or 4 Vaccaro/Tank//Datone Jones threads (whoever we pick).

That's it for now. Other than that.....

Happy Draft Weekend Everyone!

Update: For the 2nd round and on, you guys can post pictures/gifs, as long as they're appropriate. There shouldn't be as much traffic as the 1st round. Have fun!

It's officially draft day on the east coast, so I'll go ahead and unlock this.

Going to be a fun draft to watch and I'm looking forward to see our knee jerk reactions when we pick a player no one is expecting again.

I guess this is the same rumor that Cole posted before, but i thought i'd share anyway...

Quote:
RT @RapSheet: Sheldon Richardson? RT @JasonColeYahoo If NYJ is serious about trade down, as Idzik intimates, SF is the most likely partner.

I'll go on record and say any trade up that far is for Richardson, Carradine, or maybe Sylvester Williams. All about them DL.

Vacarro, Richardson, or Star id give up 31, 34 and a little more for one of these guys.

I really do like Richardson. Hes got that explosive first step that really makes me think he's going to be good in the nfl.

I was thinking about it and came to the conclusion that I hope Baalke and Harbaugh find a talented qb in the draft to groom and possibly trade later a la Andy Reid. For example, if EJ Manual falls to 34 (I know most are obsessed with filling needs, got it) and the 9ers pick him. After a few years under Harbaugh, Baalke could probably parlay him into a monster draft haul... given he develops under Harbaugh like every qb to this point has. In the meantime, we'll have a cheap stud backup in case Kaep goes down.

If the niners make this sort of move it will more than likely be in the 3rd round or later. Either way, I'm hoping for a sneaky talented qb in this draft.

Well, that's about all the sleep I could muster before visions of Datone Jones and Tyler Eifert danced through my head. G'morning to you, Draftmas!

Michael Mayock's mock draft:

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/mock-drafts/mike-mayock/171006

Interestingly enough - no Datone Jones in the first round. Assuming no one picks him at #33, that could be one hell of a draft steal at #34.

Yeah, Datone could be there.. been thinking he can go from 20-40, but I'd be happy with him at 20 and it wouldn't shock me to see the Saints take him at 15. Welcome to the draft... where shockers are bound to happen.

Speaking of which... I can see some hating this one.. where for me, it's one of my favorites that I just sat here and threw together...

* trade #31 for #41 + #105

# 34 --------------- Jordan Poyer {Oregon State} FS
# 41 via Bills ------- D.J. Swearinger {South Carolina} SS
# 61 --------------- Aaron Dobson {Marshall} WR
# 74 --------------- Travis Kelce {Cincinnati} TE
# 93 --------------- Mike Catapano {Princeton} DE

* trade #128 + #173 + # 180 + # 237 for pick # 98

# 98 via Jax -------- John Simon {Ohio State} DE/OLB
# 105 via Bills ------ Reid Fragel {Ohio State} OT
# 131 (c) --------- Chris Jones {Bowling Green} DL
# 157 ------------- Mike Mauti {Penn State} LB
# 246 (c) --------- Marc Anthony {California} CB
# 252 (c) --------- Zach Sudfeld {Nevada} TE

I'd be all for Sheldon Richardson. He is one of the few DL in this draft who I can legit compare to Justin Smith(not just due to the college, I mean the the game film I saw). Draft him and give him a year or so to learn under Justin and him and Aldon will be terrifying that side of offenses for a long time.
