Revis traded to the Bucs for 2013 1st Round & Conditional 2014 4th Round pick. Signed a 6-year $96 million extention with no guaranteed money.

What does everyone think of this?? I like the fact that he is now out of our division, even though Stevie is one of the more successful players to face him. But, if you look at it, why would the Jets trade him?? He recieved NO guaranteed money. They are just a team that is falling apart.

Go Bills

By all accounts they are confident in Cromartie and Wilson. Maybe they figured they better get something for him before he just walked away, and this way they got to choose where he went (ie not NE).

I'm happy to see him go. Stevie did have success against him, but it's always a good thing when one of the top players in the league leaves your division rival.

Because they were ranked #2 in passing defense last year without Revis. Paying a guy whos main focus is how much money he has every year which would get annoying. Trading him is the best option they are in a rebuilding phase and paying a guy $16 million in the future will hurt even if it is not guaranteed your salary cap still will have a $16 million dent in it. Get rid of the cancer on the team and move on. 1st and 3rd rd picks is solid compensation for him and they can answer 2 holes in this draft in within the top 15.

Their pass defence may have been really good without him, but its also because teams ran all day on the Jets. Pretty sure they were close to dead last in the league. Revis will be missed by the Jets, Wilson and Cromartie are not even close to the same level.

Love that Revis is gone... will be interesting to see what the Jets do with their two selections within the top fifteen picks.

you remember when Buffalo was one of the best passing defenses in the league? it was because they couldn't stop the run. same thing with the Jets.

Tampa was the best rushing defense and the worst passing defense in the league last year. they might be good enough with Revis to be mediocre as a whole now Razz

You could argue the best run defense then cause all matt ryan, drew brees and cam newton did was throw on them. Say what you want but being able to stop the pass with your #2 and #3 corner is pretty damn good. The bills couldnt stop the run or the pass last year. With the addition of revis and goldson the bucs defense is going to be legit. I expect them to take another DB in the draft with the 7 other picks they have.
