I bet they draft Tavon Austin at 9, and then if Cooper is available at 13 he's the pick otherwise they trade down.

It depends if Mingo is available. There is no way we pass on him. He and Rex are literally made for each other, and the Jets are said to have him as their top target.

I'm not really a fan of Mingo, but putting him next to Wilkerson would be all kinds of nasty

Not a fan of the trade. Keep your picks and draft a CB who isn't coming off a torn ACL and going to cost an outrageous amount.

This puts them right at or near Alex smith type of trade, which is pretty decent, imo for revis.

So you think they have the same value then?

Not at all.

I think Revis is worth what Alex Smith got. Revis is certainly worth two 2nd rounders. (or near that in value)

Alex Smith is worth a Big Mac Combo supersized, but only during the Monopoly game season.

Which is why I have the Alex Smith trade, as the 2nd worst move this off season.

...that likely wont be anywhere close to the CB Revis is.

Im not even saying I disagree, but I am willing to bet Revis will still be one of the best CBs in the NFL for the next 5 years if not THE best, and unlike a rookie, he can provide immediate help. Not that a rookie cant, but not at the level Revis likely will.

Bucs have a ton of money to spend anyway.

As long as the Bucs didnt give up much more than that first, I see this as a fair deal. In the long run, I think it helps the Jets more though.

You know that how? Also who knows how good Revis will be after the injury.

I like it for the Jets. Get a stud WR/LB in the first round and a top 5 pick next year. Easier to cut Sanchez after this coming season.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 1m
Ex-#Jets CB Darrelle Revis has agreed to terms with the Buccaneers, according to his agents, @schwartzfeinsod

Seems like a sign the physical went well.

I never said I KNEW it. I said it wasnt LIKELY....

Quote:
like·ly (lkl)
adj. like·li·er, like·li·est
1. Possessing or displaying the qualities or characteristics that make something probable: They are likely to become angry with him.
2. Within the realm of credibility; plausible:

The chances of drafting a CB even close to the quality of Revis is extremely rare, even in the first round.

Revis was the best CB in the league for a few years before the injury. While its not guaranteed he will be that again, its definitely possible, and safer money is on him being better than whatever CB they could get in this draft.

I think the point is how many teams won a Superbowl because of having the best CB in the league?

Are the Bucs Darrelle Revis away from winning a Superbowl in the next 5 years? I don't think so.

The Bucs need more than Revis.
