I changed the format a little bit this time. Might be easier to understand why I made the picks with this format.

1.Kansas City-Luke Joeckel/OT/Texas A&M
2.Jacksonville-Dion Jordan/DE/OLB/Oregon
3.Oakland-Ezekiel Ansah/DE/BYU
4.Philadelphia-Star Lotulelei/DE/Utah
5.Detroit-Eric Fisher/OT/Central Michigan
6.Cleveland-Dee Millner/CB/Alabama
7.Arizona-Lane Johnson/OT/Oklahoma
8.Buffalo-Geno Smith/QB/West Virginia
9.NY Jets-Barkevious Mingo/OLB/LSU
10.Tennessee-Tavon Austin/WR/West Virginia
11.San Diego-Chance Warmack/OG/Alabama
12.Miami-Sharrif Floyd/DT/Florida
13.Tampa Bay-Tyler Eifert/TE/Notre Dame
14.Carolina-Kenny Vaccaro/FS/Texas
15.New Orleans-Bjoern Werner/OLB/Florida State
16.St Louis-Jonathan Cooper/OG/North Carolina
17.Pittsburgh-Jarvis Jones/OLB/Georgia
18.Dallas-Sheldon Richardson/DT/Missouri
19.NY Giants-Cornelius Carradine/DE/Florida St
20.Chicago-Xavier Rhodes/CB/Florida State
21.Cincinnati-Alec Ogletree/LB/Georgia
22.St Louis-Justin Hunter/WR/Tennessee
23.Minnesota-John Jenkins/NT/Georgia
24.Indianapolis-Datone Jones/DE/UCLA
25.Minnesota-Arthur Brown/LB/Kansas State
26.Green Bay-Jonathan Cyprien/SS/Florida Int
27.Houston-Jesse Williams/NT/Alabama
28.Denver-Jonathan Hankins/DT/Ohio State
29.New England-Cordarrelle Patterson/WR/Tenn
30.Atlanta-Desmond Trufant/CB/Washington
31.San Francisco-Margus Hunt/DE/SMU
32.Baltimore-Matt Elam/SS/Florida

Quote:
The player that most people want actually makes it to #30 without a trade. Its possible that he wont last that long in the real draft, but I think that this scenario is very possible. Both Indy and Minnesota are possibilites for Trufant, but I think that they players I placed in their slots are bigger needs, and will be higher on those teams draft boards.

There really werent any other players considered for this pick. The first round DEs were all gone, and I think its too early for DaMontre Moore and Alex Okafor. I also think that it is a little early for Jamar Taylor, and the top safeties and linebackers were all off the board as well.

1.Jacksonville-Ryan Nassib/QB/Syracuse
2.San Francisco-Phillip Thomas/FS/Fresno State
3.Philadelphia-DJ Fluker/OT/Alabama
4.Detroit-Jamar Taylor/CB/Boise State

11.Miami-DJ Hayden/CB/Houston
12.Tampa Bay-DaMontre Moore/DE/Texas A&M
13.Carolina-DeAndre Hopkins/WR/Clemson
14.New Orleans-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
15.San Diego-Menelik Watson/OT/Florida State
16.St LOuis-Khaseem Greene/OLB/Rutgers
17.Dallas-Justin Pugh/OT-OG/Syracuse
18.Pittsburgh-Manti Te'o/ILB/Notre Dame
19.NY Giants-Zach Ertz/TE/Stanford
20.Chicago-Sio Moore/OLB/UCONN
21.Washington-Eric Reid/FS/LSU
22.Minnesota-Jonathan Banks/CB/Mississippi St
23.Cincinnati-Robert Woods/WR/USC
24.Miami-Kyle Long/OG-OT/Oregon
25.Green Bay-Giovani Bernard/RB/North Carolina
26.Seattle-Travis Frederick/OG/Wisconsin
27.Houston-Quinton Patton/WR/Louisiana Tech
28.Denver-Alex Okafor/DE/Texas
29.New England-Kawann Short/DT/Purdue
30.Atlanta-Sylvester Williams/DT/North Carolina
31.San Francisco-Brandon Williams/NT/Missouri Southern St
32.Baltimore-Barrett Jones/C-OG/Alabama

Quote:
Babs rebounded nicely this year, and played like the player that we have been accustomed to see in the past, but there is now a hole at the 3 technique behind him with the loss of Vance Walker. Im not quite as high on Williams as some, but I do have him graded out as a top 50 player, and he would be a steal at this point of the draft.

Corey Lemonier was also considered, and would normally be the pick here, but the value of Williams could not be passed, and we will have to address the DE position later in the draft.

1.Kansas City-EJ Manuel/QB/Florida State
2.Jacksonville-Jordan Poyer/CB/Oregon State
3.Detroit-Jamie Collins/OLB/Southern Miss
4.Oakland-Terron Armstead/OT/Arkansas-Pine Bluf
5.Philadelphia-Terrance Williams/WR/Baylor
6.Cleveland-Dallas Thomas/OG/Tennessee
7.Arizona-COrey Lemonier/OLB/Auburn
8.Tennessee-David Amerson/CB-S/NCSU
9.Buffalo-Sean Porter/OLB/Texas A&M
10.NY Jets-Matt Barkley/QB/USC
11.Tampa Bay-Logan Ryan/CB/Rutgers
12.San Francisco-Gavin Escobar/TE/San Diego St
13.New Orleans-Kwame Geathers/NT/Georgia
14.San Diego-Darius Slay/CB/Mississippi State
15.Miami-DJ Swearinger/FS/South Carolina
16.St Louis-Shamarko Thomas/SS/Syracuse
17.Pittsburgh-Andre Ellington/RB/Clemson
18.Dallas-Baccari Rambo/FS/Georgia
19.NY Giants-Jelani Jenkins/OLB/Florida
20.Miami-John Simon/DE/Ohio State
21.Minnesota-Markus Wheaton/WR/Oregon State
22.Cincinnati-Shawn Williams/SS/Georgia
23.Washington-Robert Alford/CB/Southeastern LA
24.Indianapolis-Brandon Jenkins/OLB/Florida St

30.Atlanta-Sam Montgomery/DE/LSU
31.San Francisco-Leon McFadden/CB/San Diego St
32.Baltimore-Stedman Bailey/WR/West Virginia
33.Houston-Mike Glennon/QB/NCSU
34.Kansas City-Stepfan Taylor/RB/Stanford
35.Tennessee-Travis Kelce/TE/Cincinnati

Quote:
This is another no-brainer pick. Sam Montgomery has first round talent, and was considered a first round lock for most of the past year. There have been concerns about his work ethic, and that will push him down in the draft, but his value ,added to the fact that we need a impact DE, is too good to pass at this point of the draft.

A set of safties, Josh Evans(FS) and Duke Williams(SS), were the others that I most considered for the pick, but they do not have great value at that spot. Travis Kelce, the TE from Cincinnati, was also tempting, but the need at DE made me pass on him.

1.Jacksonville-Josh Evans/FS/Florida
2.Kansas City-Kiko Alonso/ILB/Oregon
3.Oakland-Vance McDonald/TE/Rice
4.Philadelphia-Tyrann Mathieu/CB/LSU
5.Minnesota-Duke WIlliams/SS/Nevada
6.Arizona-Blidi Wreh-WIlson/CB/UConn
7.Cleveland-Tony Jefferson/FS/Oklahoma
8.Buffalo-Alvin Bailey/OG/Arkansas
9.NY Jets-Jordan Reed/TE/Florida
10.Tennessee-Malliciah Goodman/DE/Clemson
11.Carolina-David Bakhtari/OT/Colorado
12.New Orleans-Brian Schwenke/C/California
13.San Diego-Joseph Randle/RB/Oklahoma State
14.Miami-Chase Thomas/OLB/Stanford
15.Tampa Bay-Mike Gillislee/RB/FLorida
16.St Louis-TJ McDonald/FS/USC
17.Dallas-Tyler Bray/QB/Tennessee
18.Pittsburgh-Nick Williams/NT/Samford
19.NY Giants-Chris Faulk/OT/LSU
20.Chicago-Vince Williams/ILB/Florida State
21.Cincinnati-Cornelius Washington/DE/Georgia
22.Washington-Ryan Swope/WR/Texas A&M
23.Minnesota-Zac Dysert/QB/Miami (OH)
24.Indianapolis-Will Davis/CB/Utah State
25.Green Bay-Devin Taylor/DE/South Carolina
26.Seattle-Montori Hughes/DT/Tennessee Martin
27.Houston-Nick Kasa/TE/Colorado
28.Denver-Nico Johnson/ILB/Alabama
29.Tampa Bay-Aaron Dobson/WR/Marshall
30.Atlanta-Zavier Gooden/OLB/Missouri
31.San Francisco-Mike Scott/QB/Arizona
32.Baltimore-Landry Jones/QB/Oklahoma
33.Baltimore-William Gholston/DE/Michigan State
34.San Francisco-Brian Winters/OG/Kent State
35.Detroit-Le'Veon Bell/RB/Michigan State
36.Atlanta-JJ Wilcox/SS/Georgia Southern

Quote:
I continue to stack up on the defensive side with both picks in the fourth round. I am not a huge fan of Zavier Gooden. His production was nothing at Missouri compared to his athletic ability, and you need more than just a 4.4 40 time to be good in the NFL. He does fit a need, and this is probably around the spot that he will be taken. Wilcox is one of my favorite players in the draft, but I fear that he wont be around at the end of the 4th round. 2012 was his first year at SS after spending his first three years on offense, but he was impressive, and could be a real steal for us.

I really wanted either Nico Johnson or Nick Kasa at these spots, but I have them being taken just before our picks. I would have loved to get a TE here, but its too early for the next player on my rankings. Running back also got some heavy considerations with Le'Veon Bell and Marcus Lattimore both being available, but I really like the depth of this running back class, and a comparable back can be found in the next two rounds.

1.Kansas City-Joe Kruger/DE/Utah
2.Jacksonville-Marcus Lattimore/RB/South Carolina
3.Philadelphia-TJ Barnes/NT/Georgia Tech
4.Detroit-Bennie Logan/DT/LSU
5.Seattle-Oday Aboushi/OT/Virginia
6.Cleveland-Stansley Maponga/OLB/TCU
7.Arizona-Khaled Holmes/C/USC
8.NY Jets-JC Tretter/OG/Cornell
9.Tennessee-Earl Wolff/SS/North Carolina State
10.Buffalo-Dwayne Gratz/CB/UCONN
11.New Orleans-Lawrence Okoye/DE/None
12.San Diego-AJ Klein/ILB/Iowa State
13.Miami-Ryan Otten/TE/San Jose State
14.Tampa Bay-Akeem Spence/DT/Illinois
15.Carolina-BW Webb/CB/William & Mary
16.St Louis-Montee Ball/RB/Wisconsin
17.Pittsburgh-Kenny Stills/WR/Oklahoma
18.Dallas-David Quessenberry/OT-OG/San Jose State
19.NY Giants-Sanders Commings/CB/Georgia
20.Chicago-Lavar Edwards/DE/LSU
21.Washington-Rick Wagner/OT/Wisconsin
22.Minnesota-Omoregie Uzzi/OG/Georgia Tech
23.Cincinnati-Brad Wing/P/LSU
24.San Francisco-Denard Robinson/WR/Michigan
25.Seattle-Chris Gragg/TE/Arkansas
26.Green Bay-Tavarres King/WR/Georgia
27.Houston-Quanterus Smith/OLB/Western Kentucky
28.Denver-Steve WIlliams/CB/California
29.Washington-Keith Pough/ILB/Howard
30.Atlanta-Knile Davis/RB/Arkansas
31.Cleveland-Marquise Goodwin/WR/Texas
32.Baltimore-Tharold Simon/CB/LSU
33.Miami-Lonnie Pryor/FB/Florida State
34.Green Bay-Dion Sims/TE/Michigan State
35.Baltimore-Reid Fragel/OT/Ohio State

Quote:
Waiting until the fifth round to select a running back works out big time. Knlie Davis probably would be the number one back in this class if it wasnt for his injury in 2011. We are three deep at the position right now, so Davis can take his time, and get fully healthy, and ready to make a big impact in 2014.

I also considered a receiver and tight end at the spot, but the value of Davis was much greater than that of Marquise Goodwin at the receiver position, or a Dion Sims at the tight end spot.

1.Jacksonville-Lerentee McCray/OLB/Florida
2.Kansas City-Marc Anthony/CB/California
3.Detroit-Mario Benavides/C/Louisville
4.Oakland-Ty Powell/OLB/Harding

16.St Louis-Brandon McGee/CB/Miami

30.Atlanta-Conner Vernon/WR/Duke
31.Baltimore-Bruce Taylor/ILB/Virginia Tech
32.Baltimore-Gilbert Pena/NT/Ole Miss
33.Houston-Zac Stacy/RB/Vanderbilt
34.Tennessee-Ryan Allen/P/Louisiana Tech
35.Baltimore-Brandon Kaufman/WR/Eastern Washington
36.Kansas City-Brennan Williams/OT/North Carolina
37.Oakland-Ace Sanders/WR/South Carolina
38.Pittsburgh-Keelan Johnson/SS/Arizona State

Quote:
Harry Douglas isnt living up to his new contract, and his cap number is almost four million in 2014, so a player like Conner Vernon could take over for him next year. He could come in this year and fight for the number four spot with Drew Davis.

I also gave consideration to a larger wide receiver in Brandon Kaufman, but he isnt what the team needs at this point. A nose tackle like Gilbert Pena from Ole Miss could have also been the pick, but I think we are set at the tackle spot.

2.Jacksonville-Garrett Gilkey/OT/Chadron State
3.Oakland-Jordan Hill/DT/Penn State

31.San Francisco-Tanner Hawkinson/OT/Kansas
32.Baltimore-John Boyett/FS/Oregon
33.Philadelphia-Earl Watford/OG/James Madison
34.Cincinnati-Ryan Griffin/QB/Tulane
35.Seattle-Tourek Williams/DE/Florida International
36.Seattle-COlby Cameron/QB/Louisiana Tech
37.Atlanta-Dalton Freeman/C/Clemson
38.Atlanta-Jason Weaver/OT/Southern Miss

39.Detroit-Rod Sweeting/CB/Georgia Tech
40.San Francisco-Craig Roh/DE/Michigan
41.Baltimore-Michael Ford/RB/LSU
42.Tennessee-Eric Martin/OLB/Nebraska
43.Atlanta-Demetrius McCray/CB/Appalachian State

45.Cincinnati-DeVonte Holloman/OLB/South Carolina
46.San Francisco-Travis Howard/CB/Ohio State
47.NY Giants-Brett Maher/K/Nebraska
48.Indianapolis-Dennis Johnson/RB/Arkansas

Quote:
These last four picks are all for depth. Jefferson could fight for the number three spot at tight end during training camp. We are a little light at center right now, so Freeman would have the chance to make the team. Weaver might be able to take the tackle opening since Svitek and Clabo are both gone, and McCray would have the chance to make the team as the fifth corner.

I considered adding another linebacker like Eric Martin or Jonathan Stewart, but it would be a wasted pick more than likely. There were no quarterbacks that were worthy of being picked, and a guy like Seth Doedge could be brought in as a free agent. I also considered a kicker like Caleb Sturgis to potentially be the successor to Bryant, who is 37 years old.

The only think I see is I do not think we want Montgomery regardless if he's there in the third.

I like the mock though.

Agreed. I don't think Dimitroff would touch Montgomery.
