Freakout,

Of course not, the draft hasn't started yet. We have no idea how the board will fall.

Would you trade our early 4th, or late, to move up from 23 to 19/20 for Sheldon Richardson? Xavier Rhodes? Receiver de jour?

It's kind of impossible to gauge the value of a trade up scenario when we have no idea who's available.

However, I do agree that this draft is quite flat and I would prefer to move back if we do trade. Sheldon Richardson is the only prospect I would consider a small move up for.

If we got Sheldon Richardson, I would have no problem trading up. He's the only guy I think is worth trading up for.

I would throw Rhodes in there as well.

I actually put Richardson as a guy I wouldn't mind but then removed it. I have been high on him back from when (I believe it was Lil Uno) used him in an early season mock draft. He is the only guy I could agree with grabbing.

Something to consider.

This is last year's draft:
3. Traded to CLE for 4, 118, 139, 211
4 (from CLE). Matt Kalil
29 (from BAL). Harrison Smith
35. Traded (with 9Cool to BAL for 29
66. Josh Robinson
98. Traded (with 35) to BAL for 29.
118 (from CLE). Jarius Wright
128 (compensatory). Rhett Ellison
134 (compensatory). Greg Childs
138. Traded (with 223) for 219, 2013 4th.
139 (from CLE). Robert Blanton
173. Traded to WAS in McNabb trade.
175 (from CLE, Mitchell trade). Blair Walsh
210. Audie Cole
211. Traded to TEN for 2013 6th.
219 (from DET). Trevor Guyton
223. Traded (with 138) for 219, 2013 4th.

We made two picks we originally owned that were not compensatory picks. Spielman will be very active next weekend.

Patterson will be gone by pick 8.

Tavon Austin will go somewhere between 12-16.

No. I wouldn't do it. It would cost too much.

and plus, I still think Justin Hunter will be better than Patterson, and I'd rather move away from having another gimmicky/horizontal offense with Tavon Austin.

Our offense did better as a whole without Percy, remember.

If Patterson goes at 8 I will stop claiming that I know absolutely anything about evaluating draft prospects

* I feel a Frank promise coming on.

I could see us jumping from 23 to 19 to try to grab Te'o before Chicago's pick. Just my $.02

Scott Wright ‏@DraftCountdown 4m
Working on the final rankings and there are going to be cornerbacks available in the middle rounds that could very easily go in Round 2.

I feel the same way, and it's the reason I don't want to select one in the first round.
