Who has more left in the tank: Trufant or Woodson?

Haven't seen enough of Trufant to really know about how he looks on the field, but he's 32 compared to Woodson's age of 36. Even before getting injured, Woodson was starting to transition to safety... but the Packers' greater reliance upon man-to-man coverages may have necessitated that. Maybe he'd be decent in a zone scheme, but athletically, the wheels are starting to come off for Charles...

Trufant - FF has Seattle fans who quickly pointed out Winfield is an immediate upgrade over their Trufant.

Woodson - a free agent and no one is calling.

hard to call this one...

Comment From Trond
Will Antoine Winfield's departure change the Vikings' first round draft strategy?
1:18

Tom Pelissero: Don't think they expected to get him back when they cut him. If anything, maybe it makes them more likely to sign a veteran insurance policy on the cheap. You've got three young CBs (Cook, Jefferson, Robinson) and you don't want to take away their opportunities. I think they'll draft a corner in the first four rounds, but they were going to do that anyway. I don't buy into the idea they're going to take one in Round 1 now just because they lost a 36-year-old who was in the last year of his deal anyway.

Comment From Ryan
Percent chance Kluwe is this team's punter come week one?
1:23

Tom Pelissero: I'll say 60%. I've seen reports they've worked out a couple others and they did sign T.J. Conley. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Comment From Brent
Do you feel we have Winfield's successor on our roster? If so who?
1:29

Tom Pelissero: If season began today, I'd say Josh Robinson is the slot guy. I've heard positive buzz on Bobby Felder, though. Dark horse for me to make the roster and contribute.

Comment From Cody
Do you see the Vikings trying to upgrade the safety position in this draft? Kenny Vaccaro, Matt Elam, or Eric Reid would look really good next to Harrison Smith next season.
1:42

Tom Pelissero: Don't think so. They have Sanford, Raymond, Blanton to compete and Smith's so good they can get away with a lesser player at the other spot.

Comment From DK
Any words on Gerhart's role this season? He's a great player, but AP is just superhuman. Contract year coming up. What to do?
1:50

Tom Pelissero: I still think they'd be open to trading him in camp for the right price. As long as Peterson's healthy, Gerhart has a minimal role.

Comment From Rick
Robison is due $6.6m this year, think he gets re-done sooner rather than later, try and get that number closer to $3.5?
1:56

Tom Pelissero: Don't think that guy is in a spot to take a pay cut. He was their best d-lineman last year. He's 30, but a young 30. An extension is possible, sure.

Ben Goessling ‏@BenGoesslingPP 3m
Can confirm #Vikings have former #Lions DE Lawrence Jackson in for a visit today. 19 1/2 sacks in five seasons with Detroit, Seattle.

Jacob Lacey is an interesting name, he spent some time in Indy with Alan Williams i believe. Could be a decent fit as a #5 CB.

Lawrence Jackson is also a bit of a surprise. At 4th DE, id rather have a young guy with upside so maybe they plan on moving Allen or Robison. Maybe im just looking into this too much.

Camp bodies, if anything.

Just like Carr and Bowman last year.

I just saw Ramses Barden still hasnt signed anywhere.

I think the Vikes should sign him.

I've been a big fan of him since he was at Cal Poly, which is about 20 miles north of where I've lived all my life.

If we fail to land size at the position during the draft, I'd be interested. We need more redzone threats.

I'm watching NFL Network right now & they were talking about who's road to the NFC North Division title would be touched, Green Bay or Chicago. How disrepectful, they don't even mention the Vikes who made the playoffs last year & Chicago didn't make the playoffs, did they?
