I should have picked a more obvious username.

I have to admit this is pretty classic.

Clearly ace has forever, and always will be, in his own little world.

Laughing there aren't 10,000 lakes in san fran?

Anyway, this really helps out in perhaps our biggest weakness on D last year. Slot coverage and third down tackling. Twon probably has 1-3 years left in his career, so that gives us time to find someone to replace him down the line (given a successful season by him), or continue to groom Thurdmon III & Jeremy Lane

I like this move because it really can't get worse than it was last year at NCB for us, and we know we won't have another problem with tackling. In fact, this allows us to balance the nickel more in run stoppage. Very good move

I give it about 95% chance this is Winfield's only season in Seattle. The one year deal solidifies it. Even if it was a 2-year deal I'd say he would most likely be retired or on another team by this time next year.

Bennett is only a one year deal. Avril is only two years. These are test-run contracts. We aren't locking up money in anything that isn't a sure thing, we got a bunch of "sure thing's" to resign/extend next offseason

I would say that the contract gives Antoine the opportunity to retire at the end of the season, if he feels that he is done. If not, he could always re-sign with the Hawks or another team.

I'd almost guarentee he'll retire at the end of the year because at the beginning of this past season he said 15 years seems like a nice number for a career. It seems he thinks Seattle is his best chance to get a ring and you can't fault a classy veteran for taking what he thinks is his best chance to get a championship.

Winfield will almost certainly retire after one more year. If he had any intention of playing beyond this season, im sure he would have asked for a multi year contract and probably have received one.

Definitely, I assumed as much. The contract works out for both teams, because it gives the young depth on the Seahawks another year to fight for the starting NCB position.
