I am really confused as to why this guy still gets jobs in the NFL... he has always looked pitiful when I watched him play.

He was terrible that game. He threw 2 picks in under 2 quarters of play. And we were basically playing prevent defense the whole time he was in the game. Most posters on this site could hit a couple passes and look somewhat competent. If Nick Collins didn't take a terrible angle on 1 play we are probably not even talking about him if he doesn't have that 1 TD.

Really? That's what people use to defend this guy? The same guy who did this?

He was awful in that game as well. This guy makes Brady Quinn look like a fring All-Pro QB. Watching him last season with the Broncos was painful.

There's a lot more to being a backup QB than how well you play when you're on the field. Film study, coordinating the gameplan during the days leading up to the game, running the scout team, throwing to players held out of practice, coordinating drives from the sideline while the starter is on the field, talking over adjustments with the OC during the game...

I can't comment on any of these aspects in regards to Haine, but sometimes...it simply takes a guy who knows his role in this respect and isn't looking to get on the field unless they absolutely have to. Lot of QBs on the market want a competetion, they want a chance to get PT. Lot of QBs know that they shouldn't see the field, but can impact the game along with the coaches in film study, gameplanning and on-the-fly adjustments.

Could be a reason, at least.

Benjamin Button of QBs?

Pretty sure that's Brandon Weeden...

From what I heard, Hanie was demoted to 3rd string because he wasn't a very good practice player under Martz, but was eventually made the 2nd stringer once Todd Collins actually played and was shown to be worthless. Maybe some of what you say is true in terms of last year with Denver.

I think Hanie is getting looks more so for his mobility and the couple times he showed some playmaking ability. Besides, he may not even make a roster this year.

Your comment has what to do with the topic? so both of our comments had nothing to do with the topic.

Stop making us look bad.

But seriously: game changing move.

But for serious, serious: I never liked/felt comfortable with Tryod Taylor as a backup, but I doubt Hanie beats him out. At least all of our developing/project wide receivers get a more traditional passer to work with during the offseason.
I'm way too sexy to make anyone look bad, even YOU

You're right. Difference between us is that I didn't get but hurt about someone else's comment.

Are we seriously going to sensor but hurt?
It bothered you enough to play the "white knight and defend "your man" lol..
