Let’s set all the trade up/down talk to the side for a moment. If the Saints remain at 15, here is the formula to figuring out who the pick should be… Not completely accurate but fun nonetheless.

Step 1
List who you feel has zero chance of being available at 15.
1. Luke Joeckel
2. Eric Fisher
3. Shariff Floyd
4. Dion Jordan
5. Ezekiel Ansah
6. Dee Milliner

Step 2
List the positions you feel the Saints will avoid in the 1st round.
1. Quarterback
2. Running Back
3. Wide Receiver (despite what some others may think)
4. Tight End
5. Interior offensive line

Step 3
List in order what positions you feel are the Saints biggest needs heading into the draft.
1. Offensive Tackle
2. 5 Technique Defensive End
3. Dynamic Edge Rushing Linebacker
4. Versatile Combo Safety
5. Press Man Corner

Step 4
List your top 10 remaining prospects using only the positions from step 3.
1. Lane Johnson
2. Star Lotulelei
3. Sheldon Richardson
4. Barkevious Mingo
5. Kenny Vaccaro
6. Jarvis Jones
7. Xavier Rhodes
8. Sylvester Williams
9. Alex Ogletree
10. DJ Fluker

Step 5
Of the 10 prospects you listed, select the 5 prospects you feel has the most realistic chance of falling to 15. Be sure to list them in order form best prospect to worst.
1. Kenny Vaccaro
2. Jarvis Jones
3. Alex Ogletree
4. Sylvester Williams
5. DJ Fluker

Finally
Compare step 5 to step 3 and match your top need with the best available talent from your final 5 prospects
1. OT: Need Rank-1, Prospect Rank-5
2. DE: Need Rank-2, Prospect Rank-4
3. LB: Need Rank-3, Prospect Rank-2
4. LB: Need Rank-3, Prospect Rank-3
5. SS: Need Rank -4, Prospect Rank-1
Now add each prospects points together for a personal score, lowest score determines best value.
1. Kenny Vaccaro = 5
2. Jarvis Jones = 5
3. Alex Ogletree = 6
4. Sylvester Williams = 6
5. DJ Fluker = 6
In the event of a tie, the prospect at the position of the greater need from step 3 wins.

In this case…
Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones is the pick

Try it out and see who you come up with but be true to your prospect rankings and take personal preference out of the equation or it’s all for not.

I got Jarvis Jones as well, I wouldn't seeing us take Cyprien though, even if it's a "reach"

considering I have our team needs the same and JJ higher on my big board...you save me lots of time. Jarvis Jones all the way.

Definitely send this around to the other team forums...it would be interesting to see if it has some predictive value.

JJ seems to be the overwhelming guy so far and rightfully so... the Saints have been starving for a big time edge rusher and everything seems to be falling into place with JJ's stock falling a bit.

He's a ideal fit in Ryan's attacking scheme and would finally give the Saints a go to pass rusher and a guy that can make plays when they need it.
