Please don't take Allen or Austin.
Just wait for a 2nd rd WR! Dobson, Woods, Bailey, Hunter, Hopkins, all better values, if there.

Hopkins will be long gone before the 2nd imho.

We met with Keenan Allen today. He ran a 4.7 but apparently did well on his routes and catching... supposedly had very bad starts on his 40s. Dunno how much this would change his stock. I assume it'd drop him down to the 20s at least. The Rams also tried getting a meeting with him... I think they have picks 17 and 22.

A little more realistic, with only one trade down.
Round 1 Pick 31 (S.F.): DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson (B)
Round 2 Pick 2 (S.F.): Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 12: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International (A-)
Round 3 Pick 12 (S.F.): Alvin Bailey, OG, Arkansas (C-)
Round 4 Pick 11: Sanders Commings, CB, Georgia (B+)
Round 5 Pick 15: Chris Faulk, OT, LSU (A-)
Round 6 Pick 14: Dustin Hopkins, K, Florida State (B+)
Thoughts?

I feel like that's who is going to be wearing Carolina Blue next year, barring someone falls.

I agree as well. Especially if we stay at #14 and none of the top names fall to us.

Man, I didn't even realize the draft was just next week.

In 2011, I 99.9% sure we were drafting Newton was time passed. I knew we'd draft Kuechly around 2 weeks before the draft and I loved him as a prospect. But I have no idea now. I've kind of thought Patterson at times but I'm not sure. It'll really depend on how the draft flows. Still holding out on a Lane Johnson drop.

I'd like Matt Elam a lot in the second round. I still think he is going to be a very good safety but looks like he'll be falling to the 2nd.

Right now I think its down to Patterson and Vaccaro. I really doubt we'll be trading down, trading up is out of the question.

Lane Johnson will be gone by pick 6, and its very possible that either Fluker or Menelik Watson will go before our pick as well. Warmack probably goes top 10, and Cooper could be gone, but either way he's not the type we'd be looking for at RG, so I'd say OL is completely out of the question in round 1.

If we take Vaccaro, look for WR in round 2, DL pushed to round 4. If Patterson, DL in round 2, DB depth in 4.

We've now met with Vaccarro, Cyprian and Elam so I think if we go S its either early or not at all.

Would love to see Cyprien fall to our 2nd round pick.
