It turns out, because #Raiders placed McClain on waivers and he is not a vested veteran, he is not eligible for the June 1 cap designation.

So whatever the dead money is, it will all count against the 2013 cap.
So are we over the cap? His hit is 10mill. And we still owe him cash.

Even if his accelerated hit is 10M+, his scheduled hit was 6.7. That'd mean it would eat around 4M of our cap space and we had 6.8M before the move. Still under no matter what.
What a HORRIBLE contract smh.

It costs the #Raiders $4.22M to waive Rolando McClain against the salary cap. $10.895M in dead money.

Joel Corry ‏@corryjoel
@ChrisHansenNFL Assuming the Raiders didn't void McClain's guarantees because of his '12 suspension.

Here you go.

I guess we will have to wait and see if they voided anything because of the suspension. Confused

@Jason_OTC @ChrisHansenNFL If McClain has the same contract language as JaMarcus Russell, then conduct detrimental voided the guarantees

I'll never forget how happy the majority was with the rolando McClain pick.. "We finally got a real a real football player, not an athlete." Pisses me off that we used a draft pick on this loser.

I can deal with someone like dhb who just doesn't pan out, but he has a good attitude and great work ethic. But McClain just always sucked in college he was a average lb playing behind a great dline and supporting task. But ok, he's not good, what pisses me off is that he's scum of the earth. And I'm just glad he's gone and I don't ever have to see him jogging around the field.

Everyone was on his jock when he supplexed Danny amendola. DANNY AMEnDOLA! The guys like 180. The guy gave no effort, and was a low life. I'm glad he's gone.

I just hope he clears waivers. I would take McClain in a second. He has talent the problem was he has been in the Black Hole.

A fresh start should work wonders for him. Pittsburgh here we come!!

The Mad Stork, I know we're not supposed to name other Raiders forums, but you wouldn't happen to be in one with Tiberius, Limb Reaper and a tool box named Nutmg1 would you?

My ideal landing spot for him would be Denver, Kansas or San Diego... but Pittsburgh works aswell.

Good job Reggie. Hopefully Mark Davis is on board with whats going on and understand this team was a complete mess.

Raiders are actually rebuilding. Its really happening, its not just another reload and hope for the best. Now its on Reggie to draft well.

Good stuff. GL with that, blame Oakland as always. The guy is a hood, slow, lazy, non leader. But that will magically change out of Oakland. Yessiree bob.

Talent..... if you call missing tackles, running in slow motion, missing coverage assignments and poor leadership 'talent' then he's your guy.

If you consider talent to be being a moron in his hometown of Alabama, then yes, he's dripping w/ it.

I call it a lack of effort. I used to think it was his Chron's disease but his off the field incidents proved otherwise.

He has talent IMO, he just needs to pull his head out of his you know what.
