Just going to make this as clear as possible so as to avoid any frustrations from anyone. Laughing

The offer I put forth to the Panthers was our 3rd round pick (#70) for DE Greg Hardy. I'd like to just get an official vote done so I know how everyone feels.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on Hardy the rest of the Panthers staff seems dead set on not trading him

I don't know about that. There's really only been one staff member that has said that he doesn't want to trade Hardy.

On the 1st page of the staff room someone else said no unless they really overpay....however no other staff member has been on board with the move

Instead of going after Hardy....there are plenty of good D-lineman in the draft. Why don't we see if anyone wants to move up to the #10 spot. We could get an extra pick and still get a very good (hopefully) D-lineman.

For me, we're looking to get bigger on the defensive line and we're looking to add a pass rush. There aren't many quality, big defensive ends that are actually capable of consistently getting to the quarterback in this draft. Hardy is 24 years old and coming off of an 11 sack season. We'll see though, not sure anythings going to come of these talks anyways. Laughing

Talked to the Panthers GM, he asked if we could add a depth player at CB/S/LB or a draft pick. Told him a 3rd was the best we were going to do with picks, but said we could possibly add in a guy like Robert Johnson.

With Griff, Pollard and Wilson now on the roster, Afalava a ST player and Markelle Martin finally healthy, I'd probably be willing to deal a 3rd and Johnson for Hardy, who really completes our DE trio and allows us to truly draft BPA at 10.

I told him that would be our best possible offer, but I have to run it by you guys.

So, votes on:
Titans send: 3rd round pick (#70) and S Robert Johnson
Panthers send: DE Greg Hardy

Looking like Iceman was right. Panthers GM is on board but his staff doesn't seem to like it. Oh well. They have our offer.
