Anybody would be a fool to play them against the high powered Mariners lineup. _________________

I don't know how many of you check the league page but I've got CC Sabathia, Hiroki Kuroda, Curtis Granderson and Jonathan Pabelbon on the trading block. Looking to make some moves with my pitching staff, I'm pretty comfortable with my position players. _________________

You're getting blown out of the water right now Meco, right now if we were matched up I'd be up 12-1 on you. I need to get some relief pitchers who can get me a couple Holds though. Why is this one of the scored stats? _________________

Eh. I'm not worried. Buster Posey, Prince Fielder, Robinson Cano, Allen Craig and Adrien Beltre won't continue hitting a combined .178. But my pitching imploded because of Parker, Kuroda, Pabelbon and Cook. _________________

Because it's a great fantasy stat.
Puts a lower emphasis on chasing saves, and more on finding relievers with good peripherals. _________________

It's a good stat, don't bother with him. _________________

I just realized we don't count wins in this league. It could not be more apparent that this league was set up by a Mariners fan. _________________

We stopped that counting wins a couple years ago. You can thank Johnnygunnz for that. _________________

Hell I'm in another keeper league that counts W/L and despise it !!! I remember being reluctant about QS a few years back and now would have it no other way. Only thing I hate about QS is there should be some kind of adjustment made (Yahoo) for pitchers giving up say 4 runs in a CG. Giving up 1 more run in 3 extra innings should not negate the overal performance if it is say a 7 to 4 CG, Win. _________________

Hell yeah. I'll take credit for that. QS is a much better stat to count for SP than Wins. So is K/9 over Ks.
My only real complaint with this league is the crazy amount of categories. You say it makes it so weaker players have more value. I say it makes it superstars have less value, weakening the draft in general. |

Totally agree with you on that one. I don't know how they do that in baseball, but I don't think they have a stat for anything beyond 6 innings. I think it should be like... for each inning beyond 6 it should be another name (not saying I want a new stat for fantasy for each name). Like 7 innings, 3 runs is a great start. 8 innings, 3 runs, excellent start. 9 innings 3 runs, superb start. |
