12 man league. The league is 1ppr. I already have my 2 keepers picked (megatron and AP). I also had Julio Jones on my squad and want to keep him as well but id have to let go of my 1st pick in this upcoming draft, so with the 2 keepers wuld be really be like pick 30 something and thats great value for a big play WR imo. This is year 2 of a 3 year keeper league

I just need to get myself a good RB with my next pick and I should be good to go for the rest of the draft to supplement those players.

I would do that.

If you can make some educated guesses as to who others are keeping/not keeping, you can start to see who needs what early in the draft and what players will be available. Not sure if there would be much that would sway me from not doing it anyway.

Already having Johnson and Peterson, dropping your first for Jones is a no-brainer.

Can't get a better start than that!

Absolutely without hesitation I would. You're looking at a starting 3 of Megatron / Peterson / Julio Jones? You could be in a 10 man league with no keepers and may not get that good of a start. In a 12 man league I'd definitely do it to start off that well. Megatron and Peterson are the best at their positions and easily first round picks; Julio Jones I have as my 4/5th wide receiver along with Brandon Marshall, and could be off the board in the second if there is a big run on wide receivers initially.

Yea I am seriously leaning towards it. To be fair, last yr was our re-draft and I scooped AP up at pick #30 after peeps were scared by his severe knee injury at the end of the 2011 season.

Yes is the obvious choice. Only consider not doing it if you have an early pick and another owner is going to have to release a stud that you like more then Jones.
