New #Dolphins DT Vaughn Martin ranked 33rd of 34 3-4 DEs in 2012 per @PFF. They graded him poorly in run D & pass rush. Also penalty prone.

***Update***
It's a 2-year deal.

It seems like a more and more players are coming to Miami because of the coaching staff....

Mentioned the D ling coach was one of the main reason he signed...

Pouncey also seems to have an influence on his signing....

there is also this...

Howdy Pickle

Yeah we :
* are only 3 - 4 pks from landing another potential Oline stud
* we have the assets in draft pks
* we have another tradeable asset in Devon Bess
* we have a need
* and the talent is there

Do we want to wait till next yr as D. Bess contract expires ???
Do we want to waive good bye & get nothing in return like J. Long ???
Will we have additional pks to do so ? (not as of today)
Does he really fit a WC Offense - Not really.

No brainer for me, go up & get an OT if not then trade back maybe unless you are sure you
can land Cooper at OG as consolation.

We need a STUD LT protecting our # 1 asset R. Tannehill.

just calling them like I see them.

I seriously think we should move up to grab Eric Fisher. We really need to sure up out OL. Pouncey and Martin are our only mainstays. The rest are huge question marks.

Believe it or not OL actually take time to develop. GIve Martin time and he will grow into a good LT. Fisher can play RT and LT which gives us insurance incase Martin isn't as good of a LT.

Yeah uhm ... the reason I wanted to move up to get Fischer is because I firmly believe he is a
far better talent than J. Martin.
No way in HELL I'm I'm investing pks to move up to get him to play RT.

Martin can deal with a career at RT till he can prove that he is the better player.
