Cuts
Dejon Gomes
New Restructures
WR Morgan, CB Wilson
Free Agency
CB: Antone Winfield
Excellent leader and stopgap for a couple years
'"'Eventually re-signing Jackson
Played well in preseason last year, if hes in shape I think he'd be a solid player for us with no more suspensions.
Draft
2nd: FS Eric Reid
*3rd, 4th 6th, 7th for mid 2nd
2nd: CB Tyrann Mathieu
5th: CB Brandon McGee
5th: SS Robert Lester
- Must trade up for less picks to save money in order to sign a great stop gap in Wine field
.
- I feel like with good coaching our secondary can be good with more talent. Id take the chance on Tyrann because he has talent and playmaking ability. I believe Raheem Morris will show hes a good coach also this year. New players like Reid, McGee and Lester have lots of upside.
Roster
QB: Griffin III, Cousins
RB: Morris, Helu Jr.
FB: Young
TE: Paulsen, Paul, Peterson
WR: Garcon, Morgan, Hankerson, Briscoe
Slot: Moss, Robinson
LT: Williams, Compton
LG: Lichtensteiger, LeRibeus
C: Montgomery
RG: Chester, Gettis
RT: Polombus, Pashos

LDE: Carriker, Golston
NT: Coefield, Baker, Neild
RDE: Bowen, Jenkins
-Coefield also sees time on the end.
LOLB: Kerrigan, Wilson
MLB: Fletcher, Kehl
WLB: Riley, Robinson
ROLB: Orakpo, Jackson
Jackson spells either starting OLB
*possible blitz combos
CB: Winfield, Wilson, McGee, Biggers
Nickel: Mathieu, Crawford
SS: Meriweather, Lester, Doughty
-Meriweather returns to all pro play and stays healthy
FS: Reid, Jackson

K: Forbath
P: Rocca
LS: Sunberg
PR: Mathieu
KR: Mathieu, Paul

Noticeable Practice Squad
S: Ray Ray Armstrong
CB: Chase Minefield
S: Jordan Beirnstein

My 2013 Redskins would take another step in rebuilding youthful talent but also competing in the playoffs. Everyone knock on wood for a healthy year. HTTR
Thoughts on my mock offseason? Which I think could be very plausible.
-Im sure theres some misspellings

Comments. . .

You have Niles Paul as our first cut but then you have on the roster. Confused

I remain against us drafting players with character and off the field problems. I'd pass on Mathieu

I could live with that offseason.

Gomes is a young buck that will take over for Doughty. Doughty is expendable after this season.

Foreal I think I want anyone but Eric Reid. I love the rest of those players but I honestly just havnt liked him as a prospect. Like I've really been on Rambo,Thomas, and a lot of others. Honestly I know he's undersized too but the boy from Syracuse is a beast that reminds me of Byrd from Buffalo! Honestly I'd be happy with almost any CB Safty combo other then one with Reid. I want Mathieu and really wish we could still get him to fall to get a Amerson type earlier. I really want a speed back last and a OLine ISLB late that could be a steal! We need players bit I trust the scouts and everyone to bring in the right guys!

And the only FS you have backing up Reid is a player that may never see the field again. Tanard Jackson is suspended indefinitely. He is not even up for review until August. Then he would have to get back into football shape.

I would not count on him at all being on the roster this season.

Which means you need another FS, which is why you don't cut Gomes. He is flexible, while he plays better closer to the line, he can still be serviceable as a FS back up.

Otherwise you don't do the trade, which I don't know why you would to begin with, and pick up more depth players.

Now with Rob Jackson being suspended for 4 games, we are going to need a back up OLB, which we could use anyway. This is why trading away picks is never a good thing to move up, unless its like RGIII.

But not for a 2nd round player that is a 3rd or 4th round prospect and could be a potential headache. I love Mathieu's talent, but while he impressed me on NFL AM, you still have reservations. At best he is a 3rd round prospect.

You need to keep all the picks and not do that trade. We need more depth at C, OLB, S, and RT. At least according to your depth chart. Having only Montgomery as the only true C will hurt if Lichtensteiger goes down and then Monty goes down.

With our limited cap situation this year and the amount of depth that we need, we are going to need all the picks we can get to fill those holes.
