I think most people could live with Hunt being our 2b. There would have been major outcry if you had picked him with 2a, though. Getting Eifert with 2a will probably compensate for the general mitigated feelings about Hunt. And Reid is a solid pick filling a need. I guess we can all live with that. Try getting us a CB, a PR and a swing OT through the rest of the draft.

I think I can live with this draft. I just have to ask, what other safeties were on the board when you picked Reid and what other DE/DT were on the clock when you picked Hunt?

All depends on who all was available at the time of each pick. I don't personally feel that Reid is a first/early second round prospect right now, which means that pick is completely logical as baalke draws a hard line in the sand when it comes to prospects and drafts them when he wants, and we have been apparently been doing a lit of homework on him.

I'm not down with taking a tight end with one of our first two picks, but I think I'm in the minority there. I could live with it, but I personally feel the offense will be fine. I really don't like hunt as a prospect, so I'm hoping we avoid him, but taking him at 2b is a lot better than taking him at round 1 like a lot of people have us doing

Eifert at 34 would be amazing value. I agree that we might not really need an early TE, though. I feel like his talent would be wasted. He would probably have one or two big games, and be a relative non-factor the rest of the time. I think we can get away with more of a role player, and we might already have that in Celek. I expect a mid-to-late TE, really. But it's hard to argue against the value of Eifert at 34, just like it was probably hard to argue against the value of LaMike James at 61 last year.

- solid B grade for Reid there... would like to think better options existed, but I don't dislike the pick.

- easy A+++ grade for getting Eifert there.. simply love it!

- solid B grade for Hunt there... have some doubt about him as our Justin Smith heir apparent, but he's worth a late 2nd to develop.

my thoughts exactly oldman. I think Eifert is a guy I see us trading up ahead of GB to get so at 34 thats an awesome pick. Hunt I might be in the minority but I would love if he was our 3rd pick, Its huge boom or bust potential but we can afford it at #61. Reid is okay if our FO is good with him I am too but I would rather have Cypren, Vaccaro, or Swearinger.

I agree on both counts. I don't want eifert there, but I certainly wouldn't complains. The lmj comparison is apt. Personally, I feel like its the law of diminishing returns so we wouldn't get the worth of him if we drafted him I think.

Its nice to be going into the season without any real offensive concerns. I feel like if we went with just what we have now, we'd be capable of putting up 30 a game

Wouldn't have mind Cyprien in the first and Jesse Williams with our first second pick.

Looks good to me. It's kinda early for Reid there, but it's not like there was a great pick there waiting.
Also if Balke ends up liking Reid, he would take him in the first without a problem.
Like eifert especially there.
Not a fan of hunt, but in the second, we could work with that.

Good job
