Did we even attempt to re-sign Phil? Did we make a lowball offer, that he rejected, or no offer at all?

We don't know for sure, but the circumstances sure make it look like Phil wanted to move on. He took a pretty serious pay cut to be with a contending team. I think that's a big hint.

Reggie, thanks for the info. After all Phil has done for us over the years, you sure can't blame him for wanting a shot at a ring, prior to hanging 'em up.

Man if this guy wasn't going to be 26 by the time the season started, and we hadn't already stacked our d-line, I'd be all over drafting this guy.

Just look at the explosion in the video... straight up beast. I can see the 49ers knowing their SB window is open right now and not worrying too much about his age, taking him at the end of the first and adding him to that line to learn from and take over from Justin Smith.

As young as the 49ers are right now and how well they draft there Super Bowl window is going to be open for a very long time.

I wish the Browns make the following moves.

Trade 6th pcik with Oak for McClain ILB as Trent can handle his bad boy antics and he is a stud on the run

Sign veteran CB preferably Grimes

Sign veteran WR no need for big name but experience

Trade down 1st pick unless Smith is the franchise QB of the future or Ansah is the DE for 10 years

With trade down, select Warmack G and best CB like Rhodes

In the 3rd round, pick the best FS like McDonald or Swearinger
In the 4th round, pick the best TE like Escobar
In the 5th round, pick the best FB or best K
If FB, then trade a 2014 pick for best K

I agree, having a young potential stud franchise QB helps

Looking this over I'm happy overall with the roster- In a perfect world we would be able to add someone like grimes , then IMO we are looking at FS, WR, LG, TE as our biggest needs then FB and question with weeden.

I've been a warmack fan for along along time- however I will admit that I wouldn't mind us landing a cordarrelle patterson and then a guard in a later round- Then maybe a TE like Kelce and a FS like Swearinger if we can gain a 2nd - ohhhh yea

Twisted Evil
