I'm torn here. Rolle can stay healthy. KP sadly can't. But I know what you mean

They're two completely different players and play better on different parts of the field.

Yeah I know. Making more of a reference to how we can't afford KP because of Rolle. If KP had stayed healthy I'd have no doubt he would have received a big paycheck. I felt exactly the same way about Cofield with Canty.

PFF is never kind to Rolle...

Quote:
2. Antrel Rolle, Safety

Rolle is another Giants defensive back not earning his ridiculously high salary. He allowed a 72.7% catch rate, which was the fourth worst among safeties who were targeted at least 40 times. His 12 missed tackles donít help him either. Although he at times is an asset in the run game, that isnít nearly enough to make him worth $9 million.

2012 Cap Hit: $9.0m
2012 Performance Based Value: $1.1m
Value Differential: -$8.0m

I think he was much better in 12 than he was in 11.

Also, one NFL source said tight ends coach Mike Pope has his eye on an under-the-radar tight end in the draft. I have an idea who it is, but I donít know for sure yet.

Hmmm. Wonder who this could be? He did work with tight ends at the combine.

That is an interesting scenario there. Although it does burn all those mock drafts having us pick Tyler Eifert in the first round as usual. Still I think we need to give Adrien Robinson a chance to prove himself. We just spend a 3-4th round pick on tight end so we could at least see if can perform and he has one year under Mike pope.

Hi

We're voting on the Giants pick at 19 in the Draft section.

It would be great to have your votes and thoughts.

Cheers

Possibly, but I think he worked his way up already.

Two guys Im thinking of that are underrated are Ryan Otten from San Jose State and D.C. Jefferson from Rutgers.

Tim Hightower coming in for visit. I wouldn't mind him for veteran minimum, and his career looked promising in the passing game and he was always a strong runner before the injury.

As far as the draft is concerned I really don't like Werner, I'd rather Tank if we go DE. With Kiwi moving back to DE we also have Tuck and JPP. Don't forget Ojomo and Tracey, I'd much rather see what Ojomo can do after his preseason last year than waste a first round pick on a DE.

I am not really buying into Werner either. I don't know why, just a gut feel. i just watched another 2012 highlights film, and he never seems to overpower anyone or make impressive moves, it's largely just filled with "right place, right time" type highlights. admittedly i didn't watch much FSU (except UF/FSU Twisted Evil ) but watching tape there is just not alot that jumps out at me.
