Wright’s contract pays him a $7.75 million base salary for 2013, an amount that no longer is guaranteed due to his four-game suspension in 2012.

I'm so glad he messed up and got suspended last year.

That's a polite way of saying he's gonna get cut.

Bucs CB Eric Wright met with coach Greg Schiano and GM Mark Dominik Tuesday, and "appears likely" to agree to a restructured contract.

Chop his contract down to around $3mil and I would be fine with him sticking around for one more season.

Revis, Barber, Wright, Johnson with Goldson, Barron, Black in the back is a sick secondary.

Screw it. If he'll restructure, keep him.

Solid move. Him and Goldson seem to be close friends. Wright is a solid play but not worth what he was getting

If he takes a large pay cut, I will have gained a lot of respect for him and would gladly take him.

Well it's not really his choice, the contract got void by violating his contract or whatever. And he also tried to appeal it so he could still have that original contract. So he's still a doosh either way

He is definitely worth $3-$5 mil per year and is a decent #2 if he is playing along side a good #1..Revis..so why not keep him. Best case he becomes the nickel in a year or 2 and we have 2 dynamic starters ahead of him.

Yeah I've seen the twitter stuff with him and Goldson too. What's the connection there?

Does our front office really think we can get something for him? Nnandi just signed a contract worth $3 million. Even then, idk why we'd trade him. I mean he wasn't great but I'm not ready to just get rid of what little talent we have there until we have something.
