Got to love a fan thanking a punter. |
Ofcourse we will thank one of the best players at his position in the entire league history for doing great things with absolutely terrible teams around him. Never complained once and was always a reliable player. _________________

I'm pretty sure they've been rebuilding since Rich Gannon left. _________________

Why would he when Al Davis paid him $4 million a year to punt a ball? [In 2009 he signed a 4-year, $16 million deal] _________________

Not intentionally
We should have tried to rebuild. Instead, Al Davis tried reloading with overpriced veterans and traded high picks for players.
So glad we're finally "rebuilding". _________________

Al had a tendency for rewarding "his" guys. Only time Lechler really spoke out was when we fired Cable IIRC. He was frustrated with the continuous cycle of replacing coaches. _________________

Eh. McFadden is their best player IMO. Even though he's always injured. But yeah, Lechler was one of their best.
Anyway, it will be odd to see someone else punting for the Raiders now. I wonder if they sign a UFA or draft one. I'd think the Raiders aren't in a position to be drafting a punter right now but I could be wrong and knowing them they might do just that.
Lechler was there for so long he was part of the team that went to the Super Bowl against the Bucs and lost. Didn't realize he was on that team. That was years ago. |

I really hate how the Texans are just overloading their roster with future HoFers right now
Wait, is Lechler a future HOFer? If not, then I rephrase the above to:
I really hate how the Texans are just overloading their roster with guys who were the best at their positions in 2009 right now _________________ #FireDeanPees...and Chris Hewitt....and Matt Weiss |

Oakland already has Lechler's replacement on their roster. His name is Marquette King. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee |

Ah I see. I didn't even realize they had another punter. Easy to see why they let him go. |
