Bucs trade 2014 1st and 2nd for Revis

Buds trade 1st and 3rd to trade up and select Lotulelei

Bucs use 2nd on Logan Ryan

Very Happy

Does anyone else see how messed up this is?

We went from not offering a first round pick at all to offering a potential 1st and 3rd...to now a first and second.

We're getting broken by a rookie gm...

I'm thrilled Jones turned in those numbers at his pro day. The guy was dominant in the best football conference by far. His tape says it all to me and I'm relieved the perception is he will fall out of the top 10.

He's a football player, plain and simple. I would be thrilled with the Bucs to draft Jones, Star, or Eifert at #13.

This. 100%. Best player in the best conference. Can't believe ppl still care about pro days and combines.

I'm torn between Star and Jones. Honestly, Jones' pro day is whatever to me. Was freezing in Georgia yesterday and apparently not the best day for a pro day. While I'm leaning toward Star, there is not question Jones would be a huge add to this team and I'd love to have him. He is a close 2nd behind Star for me.

Also, I thinks we are targeting either Star or Jones and that is part of the reason we want Revis so much. So we arnt forced to take a CB with the 1st pick in a deep class. Star and Jones are both captains and both would be big for our D. Honestly, it just depends on the kind of scheme our coaches want to run and which player thy value more along with what we currently have at DL and LB.

Also think Werner is involved at 13, especially if Xavier goes early.

I really like Werner for the people who think Tank is a better DE has not watched any FSU games because it was Werner getting the double teams off the edge or getting the Oline holding penalties. Plus he's a beast in the run game as well. He will only get better because he's been only playing for like 4 years and has a non stop motor. If we have the 13th pick and he's there. It should be a no brainer.

I think that a DE isn't happening in the first. Clayborn is reportedly ahead of schedule and the FO believes in Bowers. We really just need that FA pass rusher...Osi, Abraham or Freeney and some depth but I think the starters are set and they want/need to see what Bowers can do as a full time starter before moving on.

What was it about Werner, I think it came out at the combine, I can't remember but it was some kind of big red flag which completely turned me off to him....

I mean...I like Jordan and Mingo

but I'm not a big werner guy. I'd rather big up some guys with big time potential that could be pass rushing studs for us with their hands in the dirt. Great thing about these guys is they can already rush the hell out of the qb and might be able to grow into a more developed role. I'd rather have a pure rusher DE than someone that has to learn how to rush

Quanterus Smith- small school guy but plays like a monster. nice size and can also set the edge. Made Fluker look absolutely silly when he played bama. He was that good by himself- imagine how he is when he's not the focus of attention

Michael Buchanan- up in the air where he'll go but before this year he could've gone first round- got sick and lost a lot of weight right before the year but he can be a PLAYER for us. If he's there 3 or later go all in on him

David Bass- decent size. Another small school guy but played well at the senior bowl. he can rush the qb and for a team that need a pass rush- not a bad late round guy

Armonty Bryant- This could be a big time sleeper. Crazy sack totals the last two years. Just started playing D-end two years ago and is only improving. Nice measurables at the combine as well

Again- there's a lot of guys out there but these are just 4 that have caught my eye. All have nice pass rushing moves and athleticism and won't cost us a first round pick. We can't fill every hole with an immediate starter from the draft but these guys can at least help us out getting to the qb on third downs (maybe they'll surprise us and can play more than specialists in year 1)
