http://blog.azcardinals.com/2013/03/20/arians-talks-qbs-cribbs-and-other-stuff-over-breakfast/

interesting stuff, we all saw the FB comments.

Quote:
Not only will Lorenzo Alexander play outside linebacker, new defensive end Matt Shaughnessy can also stand up and play OLB. That could make for an interesting pass rush situation.

Quote:

It’ll be wait-and-see where second-year offensive linemen Nate Potter and Bobby Massie play, either guard or tackle. But Arians is confident they each can do both.

– Levi Brown could play right tackle. But Arians right now sure sounds like a guy expecting to have Brown at left tackle.

– The coaching staff are still trying to figure out what position Justin Bethel will play, cornerback or safety. They will pick one and let him learn it well.

And maybe getting a Cardinals Kangol. Very Happy

I like the idea of Massie as a guard, if we move Levi back to RT and get someone for LT, or vice versa.

Maybe Vollmer or even Smith

Vollmer would be cheaper, but is older.

Smith needs motivation, so could backfire on us, but at a reasonable price I am in.

Either way, makes the line better by addition

I don't get it. Why keep moving guys around? Massie really came around in pass-pro last year... Potter at guard? He can't run-block wtf...

Moving either Massie Or Potter in to Guard would be the end for them. Both are much better suited to play tackle.

Definite no to Massie as a guard. He played well the last half of the year and seemed to be the only bright spot on the line. Keep Massie at tackle, no doubt

Dream line

Albert - College - Sendlien - Brown - Massie

Then draft pass rusher at #7.

Trade 2nd rounder to Chiefs for Albert.

That line is solid for years to come.

Colledge/Sendlein is no good. My dream (realistic) OL is:

Brown----Warmack----Schwenke----Colledge----Massie

Pass-rusher in the 2nd...

Man crush on Schwenke rivals that of mine for Xavier Rhodes.

Why do you hate Lyle so much?

Could live with 4/5 of that line btw.

I love Shwenke as well, if we could add him in the third, boy would I be ecstatic

Schwenke is best suited for a zone blocking scheme and Arians runs power blocking scheme

Got a link for Arians preferred blocking scheme? I had been going with the assumption that since the Colts were ZBS and even the Steelers went ZBS for passing plays, that he'd be a ZBS guy.

Lyle has been very important to the Cards over the past seasons but he's just not good anymore. He'll be 30 next year and i'd rather save the cash and be clear next year (if we draft a OC that is). Plus he's battling knee issues now. It's nothing personal, I'd tell Snyder/Colledge to get lost too.

When it comes to Lyle I'd like to give him the serious competition that he hasn't had yet. When was the last time we invested a pick in the center position?

I'm not ready to put an end to his tenure here - but we saw what happened last year especially when he went down and I want legitimate options at the position.
