During a reconnaissance trip to London last October, four Vikings executives — Lester Bagley, Kevin Warren, Steve LaCroix and Steve Poppen — were put in charge of taking a pulse on everything involved in the lead-up to last season’s Week 8 game between the Patriots and Rams at Wembley Stadium. And when the contest finally kicked off, they all came away with heightened admiration for the enthusiasm that had built.
Bagley: “The passion over there, I think, was a surprise to all of us. It quickly gave us the feel for the love they have for the NFL game. They love the real deal, the real game. Not a preseason game, not the World League of American Football. They want the real NFL game that counts.”
From a promotional standpoint, John Sullivan, Matt Kalil, Harrison Smith and Kyle Rudolph will head to both London and Ireland next week, traveling to multiple cities to begin generating buzz for the game. From a travel standpoint, the team already has made the decision to fly to London on Sept. 23 — the Monday before the game — hoping to quickly adjust to the time difference while smoothly transitioning into game preparation mode.

Of course the game is against the Steelers.
I wanted to so badly go to Minnesota to watch that game! As weird as it is, I love both franchises. _________________

So who do you cheer for when they play each other? | His name is not "vike-lers" _________________ Remember when the Vikings passed on Dan Marino because we had Tommy Kramer? ahhh, good times.
2012 Viking Fan:
Draft like Jimmie Johnson=bad (2 QB's)
Draft like Jerry Jones=good (take an OT top10) |

| I'd expect to see the Vikings at a lot (relatively speaking) of "foreign home games" over the couple of years the stadium is being built. London, Mexico City, maybe Toronto. |

yeah, Vikelers287 was a name I considered, but just didn't seem to fit.
Steel- Steelers
King- Vikings
7- Ben Roethlisberger
28- Adrian Peterson

Do you guys see us trying to pursue more oversea games in the near future, or do you expect the NFL to just try to get every team a chance to do so?
If the latter happens, we probably wouldn't go overseas again for like 10-12 years I think. _________________

IMO real fans don't have more than one franchise that they route for in a sport, but it is a lot more common anymore. _________________

What do you mean a "real fan?"
I'm not a bandwagon fan. I root for the Vikings and Steelers through thick and thin.
I have my reasons why I like both teams. I consider myself a "real fan". _________________

Or fans whose favorite teams are inherited through family, who also root for the home team, if that isnt the favorite team. This is quite common. _________________

You got it man. I would be delighted. I am super-stoked and going to the tailgate the day before and going to take pics and get as close and personal as I can with anything Viking. This is very special for me as I rarely get in a live game. I had thought my next game would be the opening day of the new stadium, but then this came up and my family teamed up to make this happen. It will be documented! _________________

I will back your butt up. I was skeptical during the SB years you had with the Steelers but you never left here, You always slummed it with us and I get it. I don't need an explanation that you have two teams. It is what it is and I believe you favor the Vikings. I also get why a full-time Viking fan would bristle a bit. That is what it is too. _________________
