I hope that they have something left in them after that 3 OT game, wish it would have been on TV. _________________

College hockey doesn't get it's due on National TV. It's sad really because I'd take the Frozen Four over the Final Four any day of the week. _________________

I'm a huge Rangers fan but I gotta tell yas I love what the Wild did this offseason and I am glad to see they are finally playing consistent hockey. Seeing Zach Parise sign with the Wild was a real relief he was a Ranger killer as a member of the Devils. Even though Heatley is no where to be found its good to see other guys are stepping up like Cullen and Setoguchi. I picked up Guchi in my fantasy hockey league 2 weeks ago and it's probably been the best waiver wire move I have made he is absolutely on fire. Good luck the rest of the season to you Wild fans here in Valhalla. _________________ 2013 Adopt-A-Viking: LB Michael Mauti #56

Don't have the original twitter link for it anymore, but sounds like Tubby Smith has been relieved of his duties. Doesn't surprise me, he got a team that should have been consistently good to be inconsistent and not become more consistent through the years. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

Amelia Rayno, who covers the Gophers, has said that, if Tubby has been fired, he doesn't know it yet. _________________

If true, I'm not surprised. I like Tubby personally, but the reality is that players never got better under him...and especially towards the end, he's never taken responsibility for it. He tended to blame the players all the time and never been accountable for his own coaching and teaching skills.
While he certainly left the program in better shape than when he arrived, I didn't see the program ever getting better. They were becoming identified as underachievers. _________________

While I highly doubt that Shaka Smart would take the Gophers job, I wouldn't be surprised to see it come from the list here:
http://www.sportleadership.vcu.edu/villa7/confirmations.html
I don't think the Gophers would necessarily need to have a guy with significant head coaching experience, but it would have to be someone with big school experience. _________________
