we could use another TE

^ ^ ^ Harvard guy!

or Michael Williams (Alabama) (I would have put him on my 6th round list, but I thought he got drafted)

He did play pretty well with our 3rd round pick (EJ) in Senior Bowl

I put in our 7th round bid on TE Joseph Fauria UCLA

we need to target a RB with our 6th rounder, several different options have been named, im tempted to up our offer to Davis, but i really like Michael who was actually recruited to play in our style offense

What about Mike James, RB Miami if we can't get Michael?

He has nice size, a very tough runner and can block really well. Perfect compliment to Foster and Tate.

You have to make a decision about Michael before 8 AM (7 AM CST).

My vote is for Knile Davis, but either will work.

I think we have officially signed Christine Michael.

We need to use our 7th round pick tho....

DL Glenn Foster

or

CB D.J. Hayden

or C / G Eric Kush (who I think the Texans will actually sign BTW)

I think it's official regarding Hayden as of about 20 minutes ago....

Not a bad haul in the draft (esp. cause Cccccrrruuuuuzzzz - breaks into salsa) was our 1st round pick.

I don't think we are doing UDFA since most peoples' attention has turned to free agency. But if we are, I have a list of undrafted free agents (so far) to sign.... just let me know Wink

Just a few finishing touches to FFMD.

1.) Should you be interested in signing UDFA, you may go into the particular Shark Tanks. You're in charge for keeping track of your cap. All offers are 1 years, and offers must start at $405,000 and increases must be a minimum of $50,000. You must have the cap space to make those offers. Use the particular shark tanks to sign the UDFA. For example, if you wanted to sign Tyler Wilson, you'd use the QB Shark Tank.

2.) We're looking for feedback on this year's FFMD to help improve next year. We'd greatly appreciate any feedback (both good and bad) about FFMD. The thread can be found [url=http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=516318[/url].

Any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Hey dsorc.. we got any room for UDFA's??

PD - I would like to recommend some targets before they get signed by other teams. Some good / high upside guys who can replace some of the filler we currently have at the end of our roster!

IIRC we can cut some of low end players and replace them with UDFA's so we would technically not be over the cap, correct?

I haven't updated the sheet all that recently but since we were over 51 players, any signing under 480K is essentially free. We were in good cap shape in general so we should have plenty of space for UDFA. Not sure how many people are still following FFMD though.

Texans have signed the following UDFA

RB / KR / PR Treavor Scales (Harvard) $405K
http://vimeo.com/56731599

Look at his 40, 10 yard split, vertical, shuttle, & 3-cone = potential KR / PR & big play guy
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=94207&draftyear=2013&genpos=RB

FB Kyler Reed (Nebraska) $405K
Could gain weight to play at FB or TE; or could look at his WR abilities - either way, his way on to the squad is through ST
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=84106&draftyear=2013&genpos=TE

WR Rodney Smith (FSU) $405K
Played with pitch & catch with our 3rd round selection
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-sZDv0W0s4 (put video on mute)

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=89787&draftyear=2013&genpos=WR

WR Terrell Sinkfield (Northern Iowa) $405K
Speed. Reported 4.19 40 (clip below to judge for yourself). Brought in to play ST.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWVz9FVIGbE

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=97451&draftyear=2013&genpos=WR

WR Charles Johnson (Grand Valley State) $405K
Potential heir to AJ. Has raw tools and good stats. Needs time to develop.
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=94218&draftyear=2013&genpos=WR

http://www.gvsulakers.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/johnson_charles00.html

TE Lucas Reed (New Mexico) $405K
Brooks' baby bruh. Good measurables. ST & 3rd TE for now
http://www.golobos.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/lucas_reed_354413.html

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=84110&draftyear=2013&genpos=TE

TE Luke Willson (Rice) $405K
Missed out on McDonald, but Willson also played at Rice and looks to have some decent skills.
http://www.riceowls.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/willson_luke00.html

http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/132111/luke-wilson

T Vinston Painter (Virginia Tech) $405K
Fellow alum will learn under Duane Brown.
http://www.hokiesports.com/football/players/painter_vinston.html

G Jeff Baca (California) $405K
Good size and lateral agility. Should help with short yardage & goal line situations.
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/jeff-baca?id=2539954

G / C Eric Kush (California[PA]) $405K
Potential steal. Has excellent movement for a player of his size. May help make Wade Smith expendable. Level of competition is a concern so a depth player for now.
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=121029&draftyear=2013&genpos=C

DE Jared Smith (New Hampshire) $405K
Camp body. Depth. Intriguing potential
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=112102&draftyear=2013&genpos=DT

DE Nick Williams (Samford) $405K
Camp body. Depth. Intriguing potential
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=97464&draftyear=2013&genpos=DT

DE Glenn Foster (Illinois) $405K
Really intrigued by this guy..... they played him at DT, but he could play 3-4 DE for us
Quote:
Glenn Foster, DL (6-foot-3 5/8, 286 pounds) ó Foster ran the 40-yard dash in 4.82 and 4.79 seconds, had a 4.45-second short shuttle and a 7.15-second three-cone drill. He recorded a 39 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-9 broad jump. He also had 29 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Foster was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. Foster had a fantastic workout, and he would have been the top performer in his position group at the combine in the vertical jump and broad jump. Foster will have a lot of scouts scrambling back to the film room to see why he didnít have a better draft grade and wasnít invited to the combine.

Compare his workout #'s to Watt's = he has great explosion and get off, but did not have the college production to match Think
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=82650&draftyear=2013&genpos=DT

NT Castro Masanai (Oregon State) $405K
Lane clogger. Run stopping NT. 6'3, 354 lbs

ILB Steve Beauharnais (Rutgers) $405K
ST. ILB depth.
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=90754&draftyear=2013&genpos=ILB

ILB Marvin Booker (Rutgers) $405K
ST. ILB depth.

CB Marcus Cromartie (Wisconsin) $405K
Taller CB who was former teammate of JJ SWatt. Seems to have the skills, but not the production. (Did have 13 PD's in sr. season IIRC)

CB Sheldon Price (UCLA) $405K
Tall CB. Seems to have the skills, but not the production.

S Keelan Johnson (Arizona State) $405K
Excellent measurables. 8 PD's & 5 INT's in SR season.
