True, but sales taxes are higher in New Orleans (9% which includes local sales tax) than they are in Maryland (6%), so Brees' purchasing power goes down...especially when Brees is purchasing those sleep aids, considering they are fully taxed in Louisiana, but not Maryland. _________________

Charles Woodson has had just one visit since becoming a free agent, with the 49ers last week, and said he’s resolved to remain patient in a market that’s been slower than he’d like.
Woodson: “I thought it would be a little more interest. I think, looking back, this is my second time in free agency and I’ve kind of been shunned both times. So I guess this time around, I’m a little more patient with it and just waiting around to see what happens. I don’t take it personal. I understand how the game goes, I’ve seen it for 15 years now, and I’ve seen how it works. Just got to have a little patience.”

wouldn't mind getting him and Winfield back. If nothing else to teach these young kids a thing or two about being a truly well rounded DB in this game. _________________

Mamma Mia...
| Quote: | A shaky season from kicker Mason Crosby has led to the Green Bay Packers bringing in some offseason competition.
According to Matteo Gandini of Sportitalia, former University of California kicker Giorgio Tavecchio has signed with the Packers. The move was also confirmed by John Breech of CBSSports.com. |

It wasn't that long ago was it that Mason Crosby was supposedly the best kicker since Jan Stenerud? _________________

Jermichael is staying in GB this year..
http://m.jsonline.com/sports/packers/jermichael-finley-will-stay-in-green-bay-f599ro9-199978421.html
Idk how I feel about this. Jermichael has the tools to be one of the best TE's in the league but he drops everything and seems to be a head case.. GB is desperate for TE help and this move is clearly a sign of that. _________________ 2013: The Quest for 2500 rushing yards

If we can't sign Winfield, I'd be completely fine with signing Woodson.
His job would purely be slot CB.
But I wonder if he would rather just stay at Safety? _________________

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Clay Matthews' contract will get done this offseason and it will pay him more than $13 million a year.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is also hearing that Matthews has already been offered more than $13 million a year in new money, noting that Matthews’ offer from the Packers is better than the six-year, $78 million deal DeMarcus Ware got from the Cowboys in 2009.

Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey has reached out to a familiar face to help bolster the linebacking corps in Kansas City. Dorsey was previously a member of the front office in Green Bay, where he got to know linebacker Frank Zombo. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Zombo will be following Dorsey to Kansas City as a free agent.
Zombo was set to become a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Packers chose not to tender him a contract.

That's a ridiculous amount of money ($13M) for a LB. The top average salary for a LB (of course, he's now a DE in the 4-3) was DeMarcus Ware at $11.1M.
I hope his contract, along with Rodgers' that will be signed soon, will hamstring the Packers in a couple of years. _________________
