you don't draft an 1st round OG to compete, not even an 2nd round one.

3rd or 4th rounder will be the OG.

It looks he will compete for the C job not the RG spot. I think we need to go BPA at 10 and that might end up Warmack or Cooper. I don't think we will pass if we don't have anyone ranked higher.

Well, the money is good for a player that could compete for a starting job. And it's only a one-year deal.

Still hope he's competing at RG. Can't see us moving Velasco from center (or at least I'd hope we aren't that foolish).

Might not be moving Velasco from C, might just open up the spot between the two. This could be to push Velasco or even as a back up plan if he doesn't play well.

Don't think this has any impact on when we pick a guard. If we pick Warmack or Cooper, coach wants a veteran with starting experience to either start the season or back up the rookie. Also, if Velasco blows up, he has an alternative.
