Players Resigned
Evan Dietrich Smith Center
Sam Shields CB
Robert Francois LB
Free Agent Pickup Alert!
Darrius Heyward Bey WR
TT gives this guy a shot and he makes the roster. He becomes our 4th receiver.
Draft
We receive a 4th Round Comp Pick (Flynn)
We trade away our 3rd and 4th Round picks to the Bengals for their 37th pick (5th pick in the second round) they receive our third and 4th round selections as I stated.
Round 1 Pick
Eddie Lacy RB Alabama 5'10 220lbs
We lost out on Jackson but we get Lacy here as our every down back with Harris being change of pace back.
Round 2 Pick (5th pick from Cincy)
Zach Ertz TE Stanford 6'6 252lbs
Eifert off the board so we go with Ertz. Ertz gives us a backup to Finley and if we lose Finley after this season then we have our future tightend of the future.
Round 2 Pick (our own original pick)
Margus Hunt DE SMU 6'8 277lbs
Hunt gives us our DE with height.
He still is learning but he has alot of protential. Knows how to get to the QB.
3rd Round Pick traded to Cincy for second rounder
4th Round Pick traded to Cincy for second rounder
4th Round Pick (Comp)
Cornelius Washington LB Georgia 6'5 265lbs
Washington gives us needed depth at OLB and he can compete against Perry. Can be one of our pass rush specialist.
5th Round Pick
Earl Wolff Safety N.C. State 5'11 205lbs
Wolff gives us depth at safety and could challenge Jennings and McMillian for starting job.
6th Round Pick
Jasper Collins WR Mount Union 5'11 180lbs
Collins gives us our 5th receiver and a returner in the kicking game he is a sleeper pick from small school TT type. Will become one of our main weapons in years to come.
7th Round
TJ Johnson C South Carolina 6'4 310
TJ becomes the backup center behind Smith. TJ Johnson could eventually become the starter in the near future.

Checking out your mock like the Lacy pick very much the idea of getting a feature back but doubt TT swings that way. Ertz at tightend I have not seen much Packer mocks with him in them like the different approach but then again doubt TT drafts him either. Like the trade you put together though to land two 2nd rounders now that is Packer like. Hunt I'm not real big on but we do need an upgrade so its worth a shot. Wolff at safety could be a surprise I guess but ya we need someone to replace Woodson at safety so I undertand the pick. Washington the OLB I love this pick we need help at OLB this guy could be what we need at OLB to help Clay. Don't know much about the other two guys Collins and Johnson but they both fill a need. I think the Collins guy could be a Packer type pick. Im not crazy about Darrius Heyward Bey but who knows! _________________

~Love the idea of Lacy in the 1st round, do NOT like the idea of Ahmad Bradshaw.

If we were running a track team, I'd be down with DHB. That one play where he outruns everyone while dudes are being tackled behind him is classic. (It's not so funny when De'Anthony Thomas does the same thing and costs your school a National Title loss ) If we get Lacy my body will be so confused. Yeah, we have a every down running back now, but there will probably be guys on the board I like more. Ertz is a WR. Dude never blocked at Stanford. He's almost Finley, actually. Hunt is old and I wouldn't even know where to put him. Coaching staff will have fun getting his leverage down if he's a 34 DE. If not, then our top two "needs" (S, DE) IMO aren't addressed yet, and we don't have a pick until the compensatory 4th. Washington was a cool sleeper, but he's way to overvalued by the media, now. We really should have a site that scouts regions or positions specifically, instead of guys trying to scout every player in the draft. Don't know much about Wolff. When I watched Collins, I didn't see someone to use a pick on. Don't know much about Johnson. _________________

That's my knock on Ertz too. He's soft over-the-middle as well. Hunt would be the prototypical 3-4 DE because of his wingspan. All he needs to do is to put on some bulk. I'd rather go with Josh Boyce than Collins. I like the Cornelius Washington pick. I think he's very underrated and would be a good replacement for Walden. |

| Replace Lacy with Montee Ball or Le'veon Bell then its a good deal. Not that I think Lacy isn't talented but there aren't very many backs who couldn't run behind Bama's OL they were playing at a NFL caliber all year. But overall I like the picks here |

Lacy is the definite #1. _________________

You are correct - 37th pick is 530 points and pick 26 in rounds 2 and 3 is 160 points total. In fact, the Packers could give up rounds 2, 3 and 4 to move up to 37 and it still only adds up to 490 points. |
