What about trading our three 7th round picks (217,241 and 242) and our 6th round pick (186) for a low 3rd or high 4th round pick. I think we could use more quality instead of quantity.

We pay scouts for a reason, they've done well in the later rounds, no need to package more chances of hitting on solid players than hoping we do well in the mid rounds.

Either way the Hawks have been hitting hard to get quality. This draft looks to be dull this year because the excitement has begun. Only wonder is Flynn?

We can't trade comp picks. Plus If we can hit on even 2 or 3 of those 5th thru 7ths we set ourselves up huge in 2013.

Yep. Those late round picks are also money because they're much cheaper contract deals than 1st or 2nd round players.

Two major things wrong with this:

1. You can't trade compensatory picks and

2. There's no way in hell a couple of 7ths and a 6th is going to net us a top 115 pick.
