This is part of the press realease:

Guess getting two starters and only losing one, cost us a higher pick in this case.

Just curious does anyone know if it has to do with how much money a player leaving sign for or his performance during the season? Or maybe a mixture of both? Seeing that we only got a 7th I'm guessing it's performance based but it really should be based on the amount a money a player that a team is losing signs for.

The formula is a complete mystery but it is said to be based off performance, money paid to free agents lost and received as well as free agents lost
