False

I thought the Vikings tried him at WR also and he could not catch the ball?

Actually he did catch the one pass that was ever thrown to him but the ref called a really weak offensive push off.

My mistake. He did return a kick against Buffalo in 2010. 1 kick. In 3 years.

I'm just saying...

He's the third QB now, right? Release him if we draft a QB this season (which we should do). No trade value, no need to keep him. And MBT is even worse. Hardly played in college for a small school. He's just slightly ahead of some random guy from the gym.

If I remember correctly Childress saw him throw the football in practice(or something similar) and liked what he saw and moved him permanently to QB...he was a QB in college but was thought to be drafted as a WR due to being an inconsistent passer.

It could have been a move after seeing him not being able to catch but i dont remember for sure...that was like decades ago.

Just for fun:

Tebow - 47.9 Completion Percentage
Webb - 57.9 Completion Percentage

Neither of them are worth a darn as a QB.

What is Tebow's win/loss percentage? That might shed a different light on what he is worth as a QB.

I've heard people speculate that Webb can't catch based on the fact that the Vikings have never given him a legitimate shot at receiver. I haven't heard anyone say he can't catch based on knowledge.

It's obvious that NFL GM's and coaches share your enthusiasm for Mr. Tebow.

Wins and Losses are a team stat.

If there was a high correlation between the QB and the teams W-L record, teams would be lined up at the NYets(sic) door, asking for a trade of their 1st round picks for him.

The market reaction to his availability is the composite opinion of 30 GMs other than Denver and NY. {revised cliche alert!} Two heads are better than one, and thirty heads are better than two.

0-0.

QBs don't win games. Teams do.

It's all about McLeod. I cant even spell his name.

Pick the 3rd stringer.

I really dont see the Vikings drafting a QB, so best cheapest 3rd QB. I cant see anyone trading for Webb. He's been too long in the oven. A new system would actually set him back.

The prospect of Webb was exciting but the results arent there to back him up. It's up to him to see if he can stick one more year as an emergency QB.

I'd trade him if I can, if not he and MBT compete for the 3rd spot on the depth chart and righ tnow I have MBT as the more likely to win it.
