spotrac.com does their best to keep up with team salaries, player salaries and team cap space. They have updated the Colts cap situation except for not having numbers yet for Darius Butler, Donald Thomas, R Jean-Francois, and Sir Lawrence Sidbury.

According to their numbers we have $94,634,551 mill in team salary. Our adjusted cap number is $126.5 mill and 89% of that is $112.5 mill.

So we have $28.3 mill ($31.8 mill w/ rollover) in cap space; again not including the above mentioned contracts, and need to spend somewhere in the ballpark of $17.8 mill

If I was to figure that Jean-Francois' cap number is in the vicinity of $4.5 million and the other 3 combine for $2.5 million (even if all three were making the vet minimum of $750 K it would be over $2.2 M) then we are definitely over $100 M spent and between $22 and $25 million in cap space.

Spotrac has updated for Darius Butler, Donald Thomas, Sir Lawrence Sidbury and the release of Tom Zbikowski.

We are at $104,241,551 million team salary and approx $22.2 million cap space now without numbers for RJF.

I misspoke on the original post, the cap floor is 90% not 89% which was last year. 90% of $126.5 = $113.85 million

So if I figure that RJF's cap # is $4.5 then the Colt's team salary is $108.75 million and the team only needs to spend $5.1 million which is slightly more then what I expect the rookie salaries to cost for the team because of the lack of a 2nd and 5th rd picks.

Again
2013 Salary Cap = $123 million
Colt's 2012 Rollover = $3.5 million ($126.5 million)
Cap Floor (90% of $126.5) = $113.85
Colt's current team salary = $104,241,551
Cap Available = $22,258,449
Amount to reach Cap Floor = $9,608,449

This is great info. I had been reading lots of articles (sprouted up due to the Irsay tweets) that Indy didn't have enough cap space to make a play at a $10 million wide receiver. I knew those people were wrong, but this puts some numbers up that make sense.

Francois numbers are finally posted $2.35m this season, I think might of been few hundred thousand higher... Pretty cap friendly this year...bug hit later though!!
