One-year contract is telling. Means that they may have a plan that "if things develop perfectly" Ronnie may not make the final 53, but he's there if we need him. I think this is more telling of the coaching staff's/front office's lack of desire to spend an earlier pick on a RB this soon out.
Look at McCoy's teams in Denver and Carolina though... he's been a RBBC advocate and I'm certainly not opposed to that. Because unless John Fox or Marty Hurney are doing our drafting, that means we won't be using up 1st round picks on RB's in the future. _________________
