You play Blackmon and Shorts in two WR formations, and then kick Blackmon inside in three WR sets and DHB on the outside.

I think Blackmon can be more explosive than DHB as well, at least as far as deep routes go.

Good point. I would like more receiving targets. You've convinced me.

We just need to release Mincey and some of you won't like it but Poz as well.

Mincey doesn't really fit in our new scheme on D. As for Poz, liability in coverage and the 8th biggest cap hit in 13 and 6th biggest in 14 among LB's.

Straight dumpster fire.

Agree with this, but I think Poz gets the year and is released next off season.

Poz was always a little overrated. I wouldn't be upset if we released him too.

Not too surprised... He was inconsistent in the games that he actually played in. But not going to lie he was on fire sometimes... key word sometimes. Oh well.

It makes a lot of sense. I wish the best to laurent and his family, he went through a lot of hard times this year. It is good that he has all of that guaranteed money to live off of.

I am happy that caldwell is purging bad contracts. He is setting a tone that says players will be paid due to their production, keep the bad contracts away.

Sucks he didnt stay healthy, but you cant predict stuff like that, i wish him the best.

So you guys think we cut Mincey and Poz?...

How are we getting to the cap floor?

It's true that you can't exactly 'predict' injuries like that...but there are times when the indicators are there. Robinson was a guy who, like Cox has had a laundry list of injuries over the years.

In any case, i was never really a huge fan of the signing, and he never really seemed like a fit here to me, even in the rare instances when he was healthy. Completely expected him to be cut, and was actually a bit surprised it took this long.

Hopefully Mincey is up next. I wouldn't ditch Poz at this point though. He's a bit overpaid and had a down year surrounded by a garbage supporting LB cast...but he's still an above average MLB imo, and seems to be a good leader who brings intensity to the field (which i think we'll want and need with the number of young players we're going to be cycling through this year).

They have to spend 89% of the total cap from 2013-2016. They have time. Dead money is gonna take up some room. I expect Robinson to be a June 1st cut so his money is prorated over 2 years. Eugene Monroe should be getting a contract soon. I think the Jaguars are gonna spend some more money though. Geno Hayes is all we've brought in and we need a lot of starters, depth, and competition. Plus our draft picks will take up a decent amount of room we have left. The only reason we have ~$20m in cap room is because we carried it over from last year. I can see us getting to 89% for this year easily. I feel like I just typed a whole lot of nothing though.

i know he had injuries, but he didnt have concussions iirc, if thats true, you really cant be able to predict that
