Good depth and special teams guy. Little small to play SLB though. 3 million is pretty steep. I know he's from NJ, so Schiano probably heavily recruited the kid....

in other news his dad is Flash Gordon

LOL

Bucs signed LB Jonathan Casillas to a one-year, $3 million contract.
The deal is worth "up to" $3 million, so it's probably incentive laden. Bucs GM Mark Dominik loves stealing from division rivals, and 26-year-old Casillas has flashed every-down tools in spurts the past four seasons. In 2012, he was the Saints' nickel 'backer and recorded 31 tackles in 14 games with one start

Special teamer?

Ok more details on contract. Could be worth up to 3 million. Probably for pro bowl appearance and such. Wonder if he is the answer to getting Foster off the field in nickel situations?

Either way good signing.

Avril is a Seahawk. Would like to see us grab Freeney or Abraham soon

He has trouble staying healthy. He is pretty solid depth if he's healthy though. Doesn't make any real plays, but usually avoids making mistakes.

I think this is a cheap solution to the SLB posit.ion for now. We'll see what they do at the draft (Jarvis Jones Very Happy )
