I know everybody wants an exciting free agency where we sign big names, but that should/will not happen. We need to lock up our own guys. We need to cut Strief, start Brown at RT, and sign Bushrod. He should only get around 8 mil a year, which is good value IMO.

Graham needs an extension. While he is still cheaper. After a down tear of drops & surgery, we all know he'll come back better than ever, so need to extend him before he commands even more money. 7 year extension, 110 mil sounds perfect. Get him while we can.

My $.02

Don't wanna keep Bushrod at 8 mil a year. We could bring in a decent FA or draft a OT in rounds 3 or 4. OTs aren't valuable enough in our system.
For Graham I'd like to resign him, but I doubt it happens. We could resign him next year or give him the franchise tag ($6 million for TE).
Oh an 110 million for a TE??? That's more than 15 million per year! No way I give him that much!

Quote me on it. Graham is gonna get at least 13 per, & Bushrod 8 per.

Is this what necessarily I want? Not really, but it will happen. Here or not

ABSOLUTELY NOT. If Graham wants 13+ per, he can walk. No way we give him that with our cap issues, he'll get a 5 year $45-50M. $110M Laughing You had me rolling with that

Bushrod for 8 per is ok, will get it this year, but I hope not from the Saints. Graham for at least 13 per year? No way! He would nearly be Top 10 in the whole NFL and the highest paid TE gets 7 million per year. Graham is great, but not even the best TE in the league and we will never give him more than 10 million per year!

Something like 7 years / 50 million is realistic!

Well I messed up, lay off me.

I thought Gronk' deal was like 12 per, MY BAD.

But Bushrod is gone. Watch it be for 8 per +

So..thanks for Bushrod!! We needed him bad.

Can I get some reviews?

I don't buy Matt Miller's crap but he says that Bushrod is worse than he seems. He's ranting on twitter about it. Anyone who says Bushrod is only marginally better than Webb is crazy. I think Bushrod's numbers may have been a little better than Webb's last year but I think that is because of the Saints passing the ball so much.

Side note- I know it sucks to see a player go. I hope Urlacher isn't released because of the Bear's new pickups.

Honest opinion? Miller isn't that far off.

Bushrod is below average in PASS PROTECTION, which is what you need right? He's a good run blocker though, Forte all day.

Agree with Spar here, Bushy's claim to fame came with Carl Nicks at his side and also we ran more that year if people recall. Two words = run Forte!
