Wanted a place to post this:

Doubt we draft Austin after tendering Baby Hawk, but I would be for it. Such a dynamic player... |

I think that Austin would be really useful, because he can be used so many different ways - running back, slot, reverses, bubble screens. I think Jay Gruden would have a field day. But Hawkins is a good player who is essentially a very poor man's Austin. I think we are just doing our due diligence. But I wouldn't be entirely opposed to the pick.
We were just at the Florida pro day where Mark Carrier, our DB Coach was working with Florida's safeties. Gotta think we are interested in both Evans and Elam.
We also reportedly sent our WR coach to NIU's pro day - likely to check out Martel Moore, and we had OL Consultant Jim McNally run Cornell's pro day, gotta think we have interest in OG/OT J.C. Tretter.
It sounds like we have a lot of interest in Damontre Moore, but if we take him I tend to think we would move him to SLB. I just don't see us keeping him at DE with MJ, Dunlap, Gilberry and probably Robert Geathers there. I really hope we don't draft Moore though. |
