Alex Smith goes for the 34th pick in the draft?? Either the Chiefs really hate the QBs in this draft or they just wanted to go with a semi-proven vet. But it makes me wander what we could get for Freeman and I think we could get at least a first rounder for him, then we could draft maybe Barkley?

ehh, gotta remember, in many GMs eyes, they can view Smith better than Freeman. Why? What has Josh done? He's not proven really. Many are really banking on potential.

I think the question has been tossed around to several analysists, former gms, and talent evaluators and the most common answers are "I don't know" very inconsistent, "Physically gifted, mentally? Unsure. Makes you go WOW at one moment, then What the heck the next" and the best one, "it's a coin flip every time he walks on the field."

Just because some buc fans think Freeman is better than Alex Smith, may not be shared by other scouts and GMs.

It's too bad Gene Smith wasn't in Jacksonville, or we'd have the #2 pick for Freeman Laughing

Why Barkley when we can have Geno

I'm not that fond of either but I'd definitely rather have Barkley

http://www.bucsnation.com/2013/3/11/4090310/eric-wright-challenges-voiding-of-guaranteed-money

Quote:
Eric Wright has challenged the voiding of his $7.75 million in guaranteed salary this season, according to Pro Football Talk. Per the terms of his contract Wright's salary was guaranteed for his first two seasons, but the second year of guarantees voided when he was suspended for violating the league's PED policy. That, at least, is what the Bucs think, but Wright has challenged the voiding of that guarantee.

Maybe that's why he has been kicked out the door yet!

With reports being that the 'Hawks gave up quite a bit for Harvin, do you guys think that it'll up the ante for Revis? The argument being that ..."the 'Hawks gave up a lot for a second tier WR. Revis is arguably the best CB so he should be worth at least that!!"

#Buccaneers are "shopping" WR Arrelious Benn, per @JasonLaCanfora. Very impressive talent at Illinois, hasn't panned out as planned to date.

Yes. Go get 'em, Dom. Rams and Cardinals need to respond. Make it happen Laughing

Seemed like he had potential, just never did anything.

Watching him slowly run back kickoffs to the 16 yard line got annoying.

The Rams are letting Amendola go for the same reason we're shopping Benn. I can't see them taking the bait.

I always trade him to Detroit for a sixth rounder in Madden... so there's that. Laughing

Not really a suprise the agent is doing this for Wright considering there is pretty much no chance he will get over $7 million guaranteed on the open market if he is cut. He is one more strike from being gone for a year, no way a team gives him that kind of money.

At least the decision will come quickly..

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are shopping WR Arrelious Benn and the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets & Kansas City Chiefs have shown interest so far.

Dom would need to do some serious jedi mind tricks to get a deal done. I'm stunned that multiple teams are interested...

Age and potential play terrible tricks on the mind.

The Bucs reportedly still want to get a contract extension done with WR Mike Williams. He's expected to ask for Stevie Johnson kind of money (five years, $36M) after recording 23 touchdowns in his first three NFL seasons.

I think that's a good number for both sides.

I agree, Williams has been great for us here. Clutch player all the way around. Hopefully we get something done soon.

I still look at Mike Williams as a 1b type of receiver more than a #2. So if we get him for $7 mill a year, I'm happy with that because thats what I feel like he deserves cause he's better than a #2 but cant get #1 money with VJack getting that.

At least he asked for less than his Madden counterpart in my Online Franchise.
