Because the 6th round more often then not offers nothing more then a bunch of nobody. After his added weight, it isn't out of question for him to play SOLB either.
- I believe that Jelani Jenkins and Alvin Bailey are by far the best players avaliable in the draft at this point. Who else are you targeting right now in the 6th?
Are we really fully comfortable with our LB'er corps? Don't forget that all of our 3 starting LB'ers have a terible injury history. Two of them was on IR to end their season and the last one never regained his form after being out in the begining of the season and therefor only was a backup and on top of that he's having his second off season surgery and there's still no word for how long it will take before he can practise. |

Threw Davis' name out to T_O and he agreed...I think he'd be a steal this late...6'4" 230, with 4.45 speed...no brainier in the 6th if you ask me _________________

Three picks until the bidding rounds start. Who do we want?
Kind of need to act swiftly here:
- 6th Round (via PHI): Marcus Davis, VA Tech, WR
- 6th Round: Stansly Maponga, TCU, DE
- 7th Round (via IND): Mychal Rivera, Tennessee, TE
- 7th Round (via NE): Mike Gillislee, Florida, RB _________________

Rounds 6 and 7 are not standard rounds. Now every player goes into a giant pool where we can "bid" on them by using draft picks.
For instance we could bid our 7th or Rodgers, QB. The Bills could come in and bid their 7th which is higher.
It's like an auction. _________________

I'd like to draft Aaron Mellette, WR, Elon. We need a taller guy out there, and he has some good potential.
I'd like to get a fullback. My first choice would be Kyle Juszczyk from Harvard. _________________

Okay thanks.
I would put it like this:
- 6th Round (via PHI) Kyle Juszcyk, FB, Harvard (Great blocking/recieving combination for todays NFL, will let him see the field more. Played TE in college, FB at the senior bowl)
- 6th Round: Maponga, DE, TCU
- 7th Round (via IND): Michael Williams, TE, Alabama (We don't need another recieving TE, we need a blocker who can be a red zone target if needed IMO)
- 7th Round (via NE): Knile Davis, HB, Arkansas
If someone else bids higher for Maponga, I would be in for taking Williams with that pick and Knile with our first 7th (even tho I expect someone to offer a atleast a 6th for him) |
