I disagree. I thought Gears 3 was the best of the series. The dedicated servers did wonders for the game and there's not nearly as many nagging issues as there were in 1 and 2. Don't get me wrong, 1 and 2 were great, but the lag and host advantage really pissed me off. There would be matches in which it would literally take 3 seconds for your bullets to hit because of the lag. And Gears 1 was riddled with crap like one hit downs with the sniper, crab walking, and not being able to kill people when they were chainsawing someone. It was still a ridiculously fun game, but Gears 3 just has far less issues.
And I'd say that 3 had the best campaign.

Anybody else really looking forward to this game? I'm more than likely going to pick it up on the 19th or possibly earlier if I can find it.

Its not made by epic and gears 3 was trash, so i wont be picking it up until it is cheap.

Once the first couple of patches came out, it was an enjoyable game. IMO, the game would have been amazing had they nerfed the damage of the retro lancer, but whatever.
It was certainly a better game than Gears 2. 
I'm still on the fence about getting Judgment. I hate that they took downing out of the game. I think I'm going to wait for some reviews and for veteran Gears players to give their input before buying. |

I should have this game tomorrow or Friday at the absolute latest. I'm pretty excited for it. Really boring time in gaming for me; 2K and Madden have been out for so long. I need something fresh to play.

After Gears of War 2 was patched it was much better than gears 3. Gears two was a game developers actually cared about. Epic relentlessly patched it over and over again. he maps were better. They came with free maps. The DLC was released and after it had been out for a while they started giving it away for only 1600.
Gears of War3 was nothing but a cash in. They included the sawed off and retro for the COD kids and casual player because they needed something to help them in a game with no auto aim. Maps were terrible, they are still expensive a year later, and you cant play that game on dedicated servers without the maps. Oh, and charging an arm and a leg for colors for your guns.
Cash in.

Just got the game today... I started the campaign on Hardcore and got downed 3 times in the first couple minutes lol. Took me a second to relearn the controls and I was running around with my shotgun like this was CoD lol. Had to remember to take cover and slow down a bit.

The new Survival mode is pure epicness. The class based aspect is amazing for this game mode.
