I hear it was 5 years, $30 million. If anything, we now have a benchmark for offering him a contract. _________________

Also Mike Wallace supposedly had agree to a 5 year 60 million dollar deal with Miami. _________________

WOW Percy Harvin just got traded to the Seahawks.
I was hoping another WR would slip to us in round 1, but that is unlikely now that it looks like the Vikings might have 2 first rounders and now hold pick 23 and 25. Vikes are surely going to draft a WR in round 1. _________________

You can't rule out the Vikes trading up with those two picks also _________________

True. Also, not saying it will happen but they could get in the Victor Cruz RFA race since Cruz has a 1st round tender. The Vikes can afford to give up a first round now.
Hopefully Patterson, and Allen are the only WR's that goes ahead of us when we pick. I want Hopkins bad. _________________

If we don't get Allen, I'd rather wait until round 2. _________________

The NFC West has been an interesting place today:
- Harvin to the Seahawks
- Boldin to the 49ers
- Beanie Wells cut
Next, you're going to hear about the Rams trading for Revis, or something. _________________

Move one of 'em to FS. If you have the ability to get Revis, you adjust your secondary around him. _________________

Nope. You gonna hear about the Rams panicking and giving Amendola a 100 million dollar contract. _________________

Someone please remind me when the loudest team in free agency actually improved as a direct result? Just to recap last years BIG FA moves:
Mario Williams and Mark Anderson to Buffalo
Matt Flynn to Seattle
Laron Landry to Jets
Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks, Dallas Clark To TB
Peyton Hillis and Eric Winston to KC
Brandon Carr & Kyle Orton to Dallas
Cedric Benson to GB
Michael Bush to Chi
Randy Moss and Manningham to SF
Laurent Robinson to Jax
Kamerion Wimbley to Tenn
Keith Rivers to NYG
Demeco to Philly
Finnegan to StL
Richard Marshall to Mia
Asante Samuel to Atl
Brandon Lloyd to NE
Robert Meacham to SD
okay - Peyton Manning was a big signing, but most fell completely flat
Teams that make headlines over the next week will rarely change their fortunes as a result and generally succeed only in screwing up their cap. More often then not it's the boring signings like Wade Smith or vet depth like Bradie James that make the bigger impact. Danario Alexander and Donnie Avery were amongst the most impactful signings last year and not even the great Apollodamus saw those coming... _________________
