Believe it or not, I had a feeling it was going to be the Avs. If not on Chicago, then in Colorado. ( last night)

Give credit to Colorado for talking the talk and walking the walk. (the second time, at least)

I'm happy I can watch NHL Network again and ESPN can stop comparing the Blackhawks' and Miami Heat's win streaks.

I love how the Flames announcers said Kiprusoff was back (after his great start against the Sharks) and then he has two poor showings in a row.

Laughing

It got worse...

The Wings are laughably bad against the BJs. They're playing their last game of the season right now and they're probably going to end up taking only 2 of 10 possible points (with Columbus taking 9) against the worst team in the league.

Sidney Crosby gets an assist tonight on a Penguins goal five-times, five-times, five-times, five-times, five-times as the Penguins win 6-1.

Kunitz has a hat trick and five points himself. He's having an unreal season.

Crosby has more assists than anyone in the NHL has points except for Stamkos and Kunitz. How good is Sidney Crosby?!

Crosby is mind-boggling good. Simply unreal.

Hopefully the media would falling for AVs charm offensive and start putting pressure on him. Hate all his constant excuses for the lack of execution. After a while maybe it is not on the players and it is up to your system and motivational ability.

If John Tavares and Patrick Kane cool down, Matt Duchene could very well be a finalist for the Hart Trophy alongside Steven Stamkos and Sidney Crosby.

Granted, I think the Avs would have to make the playoffs for Duchene to get any consideration at all, but it's hard to understate how important he has been for Colorado. 11 goals, a good deal of them in important situations, an engine rivaled by only a few in the offensive and neutral zones, and the 5th best faceoff winning percentage among the 18 players with 450+ faceoffs taken. Duchene has been depended on in just about every facet of the game. However, Tavares probably won't slow down a whole lot, though I think Kane's candidacy will fade as his scoring plateaus and attention league-wide has shifted away from Chicago.

Duchene probably won't be in the top 3 in the Hart Trophy voting when it's all said and done this year given the volume of candidates, but the fact he's in the discussion is a huge revelation for the Avalanche.

The Avs at least have some other talent on their team. Tavares is quite literally a one-man show in New York. Moulson has a good scoring touch but JT hands this guy a ton of goals. He has been playing unreal. But the lack of points the team will get may hold him back.

Impossible to give it to anyone other than Crosby at this point.

Crosby is undoubtedly the best player in the world. He'd he on pave for a 140+ point season which hasn't been done since Lemiuex. He's turned Chris Kunitz into the third leading scorer in the league. Absolutely dominant so far and peaking right now.
