Also sounds like flavor of the Month Alex Smith and Jay Cutler. Just saying. _________________

I don't think there was any legitimate chance for Eagles to get a 2nd round pick for him and additional picks on top of that
And not just any 2nd round pick but one as high as 34th |

Another way to look at it, TDs and turnovers are tied if Bryce Brown dosen't botch his handoff..
If Foles does not have a broken hand vs. Washington or Evan Moore CATCHES Foles' pass at the end, maybe they go to OT and win.. if Bryce dosen't fumble for six in Dallas, maybe Foles has a GW drive.. if Boykin dosen't fumble vs. Carolina, maybe Foles has a GW drive..
Heck, if Bryce dosen't fumble for six vs. Cincinnati, maybe Foles goes down the field for a TD to make it 20-17 instead of 24-13 CIN, or if Foles + his receivers were able to convert more apparently in that game for TDs (did not see atleast most of first half of that game and I heard some stuff about this)
Now we are looking at (4-2) or (5-1) as a starter.. wait, what? Yes, 4-2 or 5-1.. The Eagles would have then been 7-9/8-8, 2-3 games out of the playoffs.. Vick.. the only games you could argue Vick could have had that he wasn't given were Pittsburgh and Detroit perhaps, but he also could have had Cleveland, Baltimore, and the Giants taken away (Yes, Foles could have had TB taken away if the CB holds on..) |

If he is here I expect him to win the QB job. |
Not going to happen. I expect Vick to be running similar to 2010 in practice and in Kelly's new scheme. If he's anything close he starts and we just might be in for a surprise. Foles will have definitively show he's THE QB to win Vick's job and if he comes out the winner, we know he's a star. |

Wait.....Nick Foles is the second coming of.....nobody.
You are what your record says you are.
Maybe a little better.
Maybe a little worse.
But, you shouldn't be one dropped pass from winning and then blame the WHOLE loss on the dropped pass.
I like Nick Foles a lot more than I did after the draft.
Like Vick, he has not been used to his strength.
He throws a great sideline deep ball.
He has a good 'touch' arm.
Whether or not he fits the long term plans is debatable.
But, he is what he is.
He's no Montana.
He's no Cunningham, either.
And that may be his downfall. |

Beating Vick out in practice isn't saying much IMO. _________________

So if Foles can't even do that doesn't that speak more towards his incompetence then Vicks? I actually love the low expectations people have in this forum. Beats the hell out of everyone screaming from the roof tops SB bound baby, Dream Team baby, Dynasty Baby! _________________

Yeah if Foles can't beat out Vick then I would lose all faith in Nick.
Unless Chip insists on running a gimmick offense. Hopefully Shurmur gives us a real offense. _________________

| Quote: | | The New York Daily News reports the Jets aren't exploring a trade for Eagles QB Nick Foles "at this point | . | Quote: | | "Foles has yet to be credibly linked to Gang Green, but it makes sense from a dot-connecting standpoint since he'd be reuniting with OC Marty Mornhinweg. Foles would arguably be an upgrade on Mark Sanchez, but the Eagles' seemingly steep demands make a trade unlikely. |

Marty probably thinks he's going to revive Mark Sanchez.
John Idzik: ''Marty, please, give it up, we are going to get rid of Mark''.
MM: ''John, listen, I'm an offensive guru, Mark will throw for 5,000 yards this year''.
John Idzik: ''I'm intrigued, what makes you so sure?''
MM: ''We will throw on every play''.
