Welker's contract being up does the Rams no favors.
The Patriots can use Danny as leverage. Not mention if Wes leaves NE then the losers of the Welker sweepstakes will almost certainly see Amedola as a nice consolation price. Finally what ever contract Welker gets will be used as a benchmark.
The bottom line is if the Rams want Danny they are going to have sign him before FA begins. |

That's not gonna happen. It's been reported that the Rams want to let Amndola hit the market to even begin to gauge where his value is...
They're far apart on contract #'s from everything I've heard... _________________

I am not surprised both sides are so far apart considering the contracts last year's FA class got - especially Garcon. I am not sure his grandmother would have signed him to a deal with $20+ mil guaranteed.
Thank you Mr. Snyder for once again skewing the market. |

Yes, all that money for a WR that was arguably not top 20 at the time, never had over a 1k season if i remember correctly and didnt have the best hands. _________________

Don't let the Redskins fans see that post....they think he is the next Jerry Rice. _________________

TBH he was quite efficient in the games he was actually healthy enough to play in. that said, it was only like 3 games. _________________

Obviously the Rams have a number in mind for Danny that they will not go over.
Playmaking ability aside his injury history make it difficult to justify a big money deal. Not mention the Rams aren't exactly in the best cap situation. |

I know it creates a hole, but, we have the chance to fill that hole in the draft for a fraction of the cost. I'd give Danny our highest and best offer and let him mull it over. If he says no, welcome Austin =) Who, has not been injured in 8 years of playing football according to him. _________________

Are you guys ready for Amendola to be a New England Patriot?

He did well for us when he was healthy, but have fun with a guy who can't stay on the field
If he does however, he will definitely be asset taking Welker's spot _________________

No, not at all. Are there even any credible sources suggesting that it is likely?
Or is it just a bunch of desperate Patriot fans that are hoping he's signed so that their front office doesn't look like idiots for letting Welker sign with Denver for 6mil/year?
Hate to break it to you, but Amendola isn't even half the player that Welker is, but he'll cost more than half. _________________

Welker could end up a Hall of Famer. Amendola could end up on a practice squad (again). _________________
