And that is how much I would pay him as well. | Yeah, I'd go 2 years $6M for Brian, w/ $2M guaranteed consisting of a vet minimum salary this year plus signing bonus, and the rest as salary next year that Brian likely won't see. _________________

@vxmcclure23: Bears officially inform D.J Moore he is no longer in the team's plans. Might be the start of other roster changes. _________________

In other words, Moore will not be re-signed. He was demoted to the fourth corner in 2012 and was even a healthy inactive for a couple of contests. Moore does have playmaking ability, though, as he has ten interceptions over the last three seasons. |
Gone...not sure about this one. |

Kind of a weird move last year to replace Moore with Hayden in a defense that preached turnovers. Did Hayden cause a single turnover? _________________

Only 1 INT...
I think with Emery talking about how deep the CB class is we might grab a CB at some point...Jordan Poyer would be a great fit. |

Big mouth and he does not tackle.
I know he intercepts passes, but nickle CBs are not that hard to find and Moore was never going to go out on the island on the outside he is just to slow. _________________

Yeah big mouth and didn’t tackle well last year…but has been a playmaker who has forced turnovers and makes plays on the ball…which is what we preach…I would take a NB who makes plays on the ball over one that tackles well 10 times out of 10…
NBs aren’t hard to find but many don’t play at the level Moore did in 2010 & 11…I think this could be another Tim Jennings situation and we won’t get the benefit of the comeback season. |

The real problem is that he cannot play on the outside. He provides 0 depth behind Tillman and Jennings.
You know who should be re-signed Zack Bowman he played some really good football last season on defense and special teams. _________________

That's not a problem IMO...you need an out and out NB in the NFL today...I would say more so than you need a SLB...
Bowman should be resigned because he has potential outside but that doesn't mean that Moore shouldn't have been brought back for the right price of course IMO. |

| Quote: | The Chicago Tribune believes it's possible the Bears keep one of Kellen Davis and Matt Spaeth, "but not both."
With the tight end market shaping up nicely both in the draft and free agency, the Bears could very well part ways with both. Inept as a pass catcher, Davis isn't worth his $2.4 million salary, while releasing Spaeth would clear $1.625 million in cap space. |
They have to get rid of both at that price. |

| Sign Cook and draft a TE in the middle rounds. A much better combo than Spaeth and Davis. |

Still think we could see a more traditional FB brought in and have E-Rod contributing at TE2. _________________ I'm a Bears fan. |

Trestman/Kromer have already said they plan to move Rodriguez back to TE, to bring in a traditional in-line Fullback. _________________
