A predicted but good move all the same. One of the best penetrating DTs in the game. May end up being what Tommie Harris was supposed to of been _________________

| Would you trade Melton for any first round player of your choice? ie Joeckel, Fisher, etc |

I don't see the point in trading a star for someone who hasn't stepped on an NFL field yet. _________________ Martellus Bennet highlight video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lP8fHN53t0 |

Only way I would trade him is if it meant a net gain to the team i.e. adding 2 solid starters at need positions in FA with the money we save plus adding the draft pick(s). _________________

Bears have 4.5 million in cap space right now. |
Ya and keep in mind that $2-3 million of that is going to be required for signing the draft class. Cliff Stein has to start making some moves here on restructuring and Phil has to start making some cuts. _________________

When I woke up yesterday the Bears PR had posted the Melton tagging on their Facebook page. I was laughing at the comments from people who complained about how the offense was more important... you know, because with an aging defense you really want create more holes by losing one of your ascending young players. _________________
