Assuming they bring back Talib, and if Dennard is able to return before the regular season, I think it would make more sense for them to draft a safety before a CB. They'd have 2 competent outside CB's (provided Dennard doesn't have a Butler-like sophmore meltdown) but only one starting caliber safety. If Dowling can stay healthy (don't laugh) they have more to work with at that position as well.
I think Wilson could develop into a quality player over time, but I'd feel more comfortable taking a higher end safety prospect and then getting a CB later on in the draft.
I like Rhodes a lot as a prospect but I'd rather them take a chance on someone like Elam or Cyprien; if they have an extra second from the Mallet trade they could maybe even trade up for Vacarro. |

Never been a huge Datone Jones fan but I really do like Cyprien and Goodwin and the trade seems realistic from a BB draft...always looking ahead. _________________

I am also a fan of Cyprien but I think he will be available toward the last halve of the second round maybe even early third. Datone Jones is a no for me as well. He doesn't have that good of strength and doesn't possess a great first step. I'd like to see either Justin Hunter Tennessee or Xavior Rhodes Florida State as our first pick. Then with our first second pick from The Cardinals go with Jesse Williams DT Alabama |

By all reports, Cyprien is shooting up boards. I'd be very surprised if he were around late 2nd/early 3rd. |

He has a good shot at the 1st round at this point. Also not big on Datone Jones. I really believe the Pats will trade out of round 1 _________________

Along with the FA signings and draft, I feel you have filled out a lot of holes on our squad with better than good players. Think if this happened, wed be headed to another SB opportunity. _________________

ricky jean-francois (sf)
victor butler (dal)
dashon goldson (sf)

niko koutouvides - $1m aav

nico johnson, ilb
larry warford, og
ricky wagner, rt

draft:
im just going to do a 7 round mock since this is a "dream" scenario and also because lets face it, the pats aren't sticking with what they've got; they're making some trade. whether that includes players for picks, idk. but anyways, here goes the rest of my dream:
*pats package their two third round picks to move up and acquire an additional 2013 second round pick
1st (own) - jonathan jenkins, georgia, nt
2nd (acquired) - kyle long, oregon, og/ot
2nd (own) - jon bostic, florida, ilb
4th (acquired) - josh boyce, tcu, wr
5th (acquired) - jj wilcox, georgia south, s
7th (from tb) - mike gillislee, florida, rb
7th (own) - ryan griffin, tulane, qb
udfa:
eric herman, ohio, og
curtis mcneal, usc, rb
jordan rodgers, vanderbilt, qb
